By the way, I enjoy eating at taco carts occassionaly too, but I think it's ok to warn fine dining fans that the taco carts don't serve wine and such, but maybe if you visit one hundreds of time it will start serving wine.

As long as you're frantically defending comparisons between places when you have only been to one of the places being compared, those smacking sounds you're hearing won't be from me being hit, but the visual of who is hitting who is awfully funny.

I was in teejay on Saturday night? Damn, I don't recall a thing. You are absolutely right, I was smashed. A bunch of slammers, two bottles of Don Julio, and countless buckets of various beers finally got to me.

Certainly it's not appropriate to compare Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America, to Tijuana. And i like the Zona, i've had a lot of great experiences for the past 8 years. Even after the economic debacle in Argentina (which certainly helps visitors of all types,not just 'hobbyists'), BA is a world class city, as is Rio. Probably top 10 in terms of pure appeal, women aside. They both have their great identities, their culture, Tijuana is simply a border city of a wealthy neighbor (San Diego).

That said, all types of fun can be found in TJ with a little effort. From quickies with attractive street girls (there definitely are some) to expensive all-nighters with club girls of fairly high quality. The GF comparison isn't relevant either since Mexicans aren't as free-wheeling about sex and their bodies as are Brazilians - it sounds like the women there just love sex, the partner isn't really *that* critical. Furthermore, TJ is a rather conservative city, and that is conveyed to their people thru the media. The result: 'fiery latinas' isnt the norm by any means. I'd imagine a Carnaval parade in TJ would feature a lot of completely covered women, not the opposite.

Fun can be found, but certainly not with the ease it can in Rio or BA. When the Zona experiences it's inevitable dry spells (of the chica quality kind), then anyone desirous of a memorable time has some nights of major angst. Those are the times you wish you could hop a plane and head off to more fruitful locales. But for guys living in San Diego, it's a pretty good deal.

To those who like to compare teejay to other destinations,

Until the day I don't see your pathetic faces around the zona norte trying to get laid, I will believe in your arguments. Otherwise, you do your thing and let others enjoy theirs.

If you are stupid enough to even comparing a bordertown like teejay to world-class vacation destinations then you aren't smart enough to seek out and to deserve a GFE session in teejay.

And yes, I have been to San Jose, Rio, BA, Sao Paulo, Santa Magaritas Island, Amsterdam, the PI, Bangkok, Phuket, Vietnam, and teejay. Other places are awesome, but teejay is still a nice and easy place to get laid.

Sakebomb... well put. That's EXACTLY how I feel about the ridiculous "TJ vs. other places" debate.

TJ is TJ. Yeah, there are other places around the world that are nicer. So what?

They want to compare them, so that they can think themselves as connoiseurs of fine wine, while call us as taco eaters.

The falsely of the logic is, whoring is fundamentally different from restaurant dining in which every guy gets the same food. What I get in TJ is different from what Sakebomb or dArt gets. The whole analogy is pointless.

But, last night, I went with this chica (who is talked about a lot on the board) for the first time. Before last night, I never talked with her. Last night was a different story. She suddently grabbed me in a hallway, pinned me on a wall, started telling me she liked me, and then molested me. Then, as we climbed steps of the hotel, she started singing the wedding march, telling me we were getting marrido and having a nino and nina together, then proceeded to give me a very very nice session.

TJ isn't really bad.

I am not making up any of that. Putajunkie saw this chica molesting me in the hallway and must have thought it was very amusing. He stayed there, watched us with a big grin on his face, started telling me how bad I was (because I'd just told him about the Pollo girl who was waiting for me to come back for the night) and then telling the chica I was such a puto.

Getting GFEs is like fishing. Skills matter. Locations matter. In rough places like TJ, poor fishermen go home empty handed.

Like fish, prostitutes migrate from location to location, too. Sada and several other Brazilian chicas were working at TJ. And women migrate much further than fish (because they have airplanes). For example, thousands of Colombian, Thai, Filipino, Russian and American prostitutes work in Japan.

First of all I'm glad you made to back to the good ole USA. From the way some of those girls were talking to me about you I thought maybe you lived there..Ha, ha. Yes, I'm sure I'll see you again in TJ and other fine destinations around the world.

Thanks for the comments about the good post. I really do try. I have taken a weekend trip every weekend for the past 2 months. Just now I returned from the airport from a trip into Mexico. It was really interesting. I won't post a detailed report because I didn't see any "working girls". I went to see my girlfriend that lives a few hours into Mexico. It was a very interesting trip and I had another great weekend and I'm going back there next month.

A few tips for those that drive into Mexico (several hours). Use Dollar-Rent-a Car! I made the mistake of using hotwire.com for my rent a car. I rented a luxury car and it ended up being from Avis. Afterwards I called Avis only to find out that they will let you drive into Mexico but only 20 miles!! I was driving at least 3 hours into Mexico. So I flushed $170 down the toilet. I had to then rent a car with Dollar for another $265 (with Mexican insurance included). What a waste!

I really liked driving down into Mexico. The people of Mexico are very friendly and although my friends were worried about me driving into Mexico I had no worries.

I wish I was a rich man. If I was, I'd just take a road trip throughout Mexico, Central and South America. God I love Latin America. More trips to come...stay tuned...

I just thought I would agree with what Sakebomb said about comparing TJ to other places without comparing them myself.

Godfather's report is very much appreciated, and he is entitled to write his reports as he sees fit, that includes how his recent trips compare to his past trips. It would be more appropriate to offer one's own trip reports than criticize how Godfather writes his.

Thanks Moderator1 but to everyone's defense I don't think anyone was criticizing my report. I was clear from the start that you can't compare TJ to other spots. Also, many guys that thought I wouldn't enjoy TJ were wrong. If you go into a town like TJ comparing it to a BA or Rio you will DEFINITELY be disappointed. The key to this and any other destination is keeping an open mind, having fun and not worrying about what or what you may not be getting. I always do this and have a good time no matter where I go.

TJ and Rio/Ba DO NOT compare, period. In Rio or BA I sort of walk around lovestruck; in TJ I sometimes walk around disgusted.
Maybe we South American hombres should start a collection for the needy, and doubtful (Milkster), then he'll join our ranks vs. Ben, Byron. Sorry Ben, Byron, you's don't qualify.
