I recently returned from a trip to Thailand, which included three days in Pattaya that happened to coincide with their Songkran celebrations (which are held a few days later than the rest of the country). My centre of operations was my usual haunt of Soi LK Metro. I really like this part of town - the block bordered by Soi Honey to the West, Soi Buakow to the North, and Soi Diana to the East. Just about everything there that a monger could wish for, including the renowned Lólita's BJ bar and the Devil Club. Champagne is one of my favourite agogos, with the naked dancers prepared to do pretty much anything after a few drinks. I noticed that on this trip, three new agogos had opened up since my last visit 6 months ago: The Offcie, M.A.S.H. and the Submarine Club. All the same owner apparently, but with different themes. Nothing special to offer on the nights I sampled them, but then Songkran distorts the picture somewhat. Soi Honey continues to provide me with plenty of girls offering massage plus all the extras, although to be honest, you would be hard pressed to find a girl with more than a 6 in the looks department.
My top experience of the trip was a visit to a bar off Walking Street (name escapes me but it was to the right of Club Boesche, and may well have been X-Zone), which featured a jacuzzi show. When I walked in, three girls were in the tub, with one of them being fucked by another wearing a strap-on, and being licked by the third. This looked like my kind of scene, so I sat down by the tub and joined in the hands-on fun. Several drinks later and things were totally out of control, with everyone licking everyone else. I was getting BJs from all the girls, and eventually one jumped on my lap and proceed to fuck me in the bar. I ended up barfining her, but in retrospect I should probably have shot my load in the bar. I don't think she would have cared. This is now my second trip in a row where I have been able to go all the way in the bar. Things are definitely looking up in Pattaya!
Songkran itself was totally manic in Pattaya, and did become somewhat tedious after a while, particularly when the water throwing continued into the late evening. Anyway, I had a blast. A video that captures some of the atmosphere can be viewed at:

Apologies for the smudgy quality. I had a waterproof camera but it is impossible to keep the lens clear most of the time. See how many of your favourite bars you can spot, and extra points for identifying the ladyboys. Enjoy!

Songkron looks like fun...for a few days, but for a whole week?? hell no.
Last 3 trips I have stayed at the LK Renaissance on Soi Diana, great location, everything you could want is right there, and if you want to head to walking street the quickest way to do so is walk up to Soi Buakow and catch a baht bus at Nikon court.
How were the beer bars across the street from the LK's during Songkron?

Wild time, sounds like you had a blast. Photos of that scene would have been sweet. Just proves once again the lesser known clubs can make your stay.

Roadglide: Does the Soi Buakow baht bus take you all the way to Walking Street or do you have to be alert and jump off at some point and walk? Even though I stayed at the LKR it never occurred to me to check that out.

The beer bars in Soi Diana and LK Metro were operating as usual in the evenings, but during the day up to about 7pm the girls were mainly engaged in soaking passers by so you would not get much attention from them. Good fun to sit and watch though.

Yea, photos would have been interesting, but difficult to achieve. One lesson I have learned from numerous trips to my favorite jacuzzi bars is never to expect a repeat of a great experience from a previous visit. The buzz on a particular night depends on a number of factors and it is very hard to replicate.

The baht bus from Soi Buakow does not go all the way to Walking Street. Most of them (but not all) will go as far as the crossroads with Number Two road, at which point they may turn left or right (can't go straight ahead to Walking St as one way). A left turn will take you parallel to Walking St, but probably best to get off at crossroad and walk from there.

Baxter; Once you hit the crossroads at number 2 street you are basically at walking street. What I do is jump off the bus at the light, cross second street, and either walk towards the beach, or hang a left and angle down one of the Sio's/alleyways and end up at the Soi that Secrets bar is located on.
The return trip is just as easy, Baht bus to KISS/Soi Diana and walk half way to Soi Buakow.
The only bad thing about the LK group on Soi Diana is that there hotels are a few years old now, and you can see the wear and tear in them. I may stay at the new location on Beach road, depending on what the rates are for high season.

The Penthouse suites in the Vault all have huge jacuzzi's. The owner will make sure you got at least two honey's to soap you down ! Worth it !

Gentleman,
I am a newbie and a first timer headed to Thailand( Pattaya ) in 2 weeks. Can anyone recommend me a decent affordable hotel thats walking distance from all the action ( walking street ). Being a first-timer I didn't want to get caught up in depending on their transportation systems. Thanks guys

You could stay at secrets http://www.secretspattaya.com/ but I prefer to stay on Soi Diana and the LK chain http://www.lkpattaya.com/ you will get better value for your money, and walking street is not the only venue in town.
Using the Baht bus's to get to and from your hotel and walking street and the other sights is point and shoot simple. You jump on, hit the buzzer when you want to get off, and pay the driver 10bht.
