June 5 – Catch the 10:00 am Flight out of Atlanta bound for San Jose with a Buddy that had never been before. We clear customs by 1:00pm and catch a cab to the Morazon. I had made reservations with “Rose” there a few days before we left. (There has been a lot of discussion on some other Boards about the Morazon and them not Honoring Reservations), Well we get there and Sure enough, NO RESERVATION!!! Alonzo was working the desk and said that they could not find the reservation but he still had rooms but wanted $42 a night. We started to argue and He had real lousy attitude (it was right at 2:00 and he was trying to get out of there.) After we argued for a minute he said just wait a few Minutes and Rose would be in and I could talk to her. At that moment I told him that "Soprano" said this would not happen.
BOOM!! 180 Change in attitude instantly! He said oh, you know Soprano? Rate is $35, here are your rooms, Safe Key is free, NO Chica Charge. It was amazing. My buddy was shocked and was like WTF is that soprano thing.. Damn that worked. Believe it or not, It really does make a big difference with Alonzo if you tell him Soprano sent you. It was kind of funny watching the change in attitude.
I had Stayed at the Morazon twice before but never had to deal with reservations or Paying for the room even because everything was handled by the Casino for me in the past. The Morazon is a GREAT hotel, perfect location, good service (if they actually have your reservation) and a fantastic price.
We drop off the Bags and head to the Blue Marlin. My Buddy immediately finds a girl he likes and is anxious to knock the rust off if you know what I mean. A Columbian named “Ruby” has latched on to me. My buddy head right back to the room with his new girl. I talk with Ruby for a while and we agree on $60 and make the same walk. Ruby is very good, Nice massage, Good BBBJ, Multiple Positions and not in a hurry. I tip her $20 just because she did not ask for one.
I head out to go gambling. First Stop is the Colonial. I hit a very cold Craps table and quickly lose $200. I head back to the Morazon for some Rummy (Costa Rican Black Jack) and loose another quick $100. Not a Good start to this trip. I finally make my way to the Horseshoe. GREAT CASINO!!! A Couple of Hours at the Craps Table there and I now have more cash than I got off the Plane with and Quit.
Back to the BM to meet up with Buddy. He was not so Lucky with his selection. He said it was the worst he had ever had and got stuck for $80 and she was out of there in 15 minutes. We decide to take a cab to Idem so I can show him a guaranteed good time. We get there and talk with Roberto or a while and have a beer. My Buddy didn’t feel recharged enough so it was back to the BM for more gambling and drinking. I finally call it a Night about 1:00 AM. Too Tired and Drunk to try again. My Buddy finds another girl. This time he picks one that has a great Smile, Beautiful Face but on the heavy side. He takes her back and she proceeds to show him what Costa Rican Women can do for a man. Lesson learned. The trophies are nowhere near as good as the regular girls.

Friday Morning, Head to the News Café for Breakfast. Good Food, GREAT COFFEE!!! We hang out people watching for a while and my buddy goes on for hours about how great “Alex” was. We eventually head to New Fantasy. It was our first time there so we got the tour. This place is GREAT!! Clean, Nice, New, Affordable and really good girls. (This place is going to put the pressure on Idem. I really like Roberto’s place but New Fantasy is much nicer and costs less.) We decide to come back later to sample the wares. More Gambling at the Horseshoe provides the funds to cover the day. We head over to the Park Hotel.
For those that read my last trip report from two years ago here, There is a section on Maria from the Park Hotel. The girl that truly stole my heart. Maria is about 85 lbs of pure sex. I was hoping to find her or Anna from another trip that was also very special to me. We get there and no such luck. We order one beer each, but we are given two because its Happy Hour. We kill those off quickly and Bill (The Owner) walks in and starts buying everyone more Beer. Pretty soon we are trying to slow down a bit because I am supposed to playing in a Poker Game at the Horseshoe soon. I start asking around for Maria and no one has seen her for a few weeks. We stagger out to catch a cab with promises that we will be back later for the show. As our cab stops and opens the Door, I look up and there she is. Maria Happens to be walking down the Street. I call her and get her attention. She comes over to say hello. I start trying to talk to her but she speaks no English at all and I speak very little Spanish. I finally communicate to her that I will be back tonight for the show. She says she will be there.
Note on Maria.. The years have not been good to her. There is a sadness in her eyes and a very rough look that was not there two years ago.
We get to the horseshoe but the game has not started yet. So back to New Fantasy. Well Maybe My Buddy didn’t learn his lesson at the BM. He picks the hottest one girl there and head back. I Start Looking for the girl with best smile. I finally find her. Yessica (No that is not a typo). Back to the Room for a Great 15 Minute Massage, BBBJ, and Fantastic Sex. This girl is the best I have ever had in Costa Rica. New Fantasy ROCKS!!. My Buddy was not so Lucky. He said all his Girl wanted to do was Tickle and Bite him. Some guys may like that but he did not. He claimed that he could not get her to stop and it was really turning him off. Her name was “Fabiola” if you like being tickled and bitten, She is the one for you.
Well we end up back at the Park Hotel to get ringside seats for the show. I walk in and Maria is waiting for me. She has this look like she about to cry at all times. We hang out at the bar waiting for the show to start. I really like this girl and want to help her some way but know that there is nothing I can really do except have a few beers give her a shoulder to cry on. After a few beers she seems to be feeling much better and seems to be content rest her head on my shoulder. There is a really drunk local named “Mike” at the bar that is being a total Asshole. The show finally starts about 10:30. Maria decides to put on a warm up act on the bar while everyone is waiting. And for a few moments I see the girl that stole my heart again. 85 lbs of pure trouble and suddenly I want to be in DEEP trouble!! She gets the crowd pumped and ready for the show. She finally gets down off the bar and crawls back into my arms but light is gone again.
We meet another Hombre there. I forget his Handle but he decides to join us the next day for a trip to Arenal. The Show was not as good as others I had seen there. The energy just wasn’t there or maybe I was to distracted with Maria. After the Show I gave Maria some money and told her I hoped to see her again. I gave her more than she would have asked for for all night sex, But I didn’t want that. I just wanted to see her smile again.
We headed back to the BM with our new found Buddy and decide to see what El Pueblo is all about.
El Pueblo is a maze of dance clubs and bars over by the Radisson. I have been to Costa Rica 4 times now and always though the best looking girls were at the Blue Marlin. DAMN was I wrong!! If you want to see truly Beautiful women, El Pueblo is IT!! So Many gorgeous Ticas everywhere. We meet up with some tica travel agents at one of the bars who speak perfect English and have a great time hanging out with them. My Original Buddy heads back to the BM to find his “Alex” for round 2. Me and my new Buddy hang out to see if we can score with these girls. No such luck but it was fun trying. SO back to the BM. I make a Poor selection but it only costs me $40 (That’s Right a BM Girl for $40, It was very late and she really wanted something.) We agree on $40 for one Hour. Well se get to the Room, Takes a 20 Minute shower with the Door Locked. Then Rushed the deed and gets back in the shower for another 20 Minutes. I finally knock on the door to get her out and ask her to leave. What a Waste.

Saturday Morning at the ridiculously early hour of 9:00 am, we meet up with our new buddy at the BM bar and head over to the News café for breakfast and to hire a tourismo van to take us to Arenal. We got the Van and Driver for $120 for the entire day. Long 3 to 4 hour drive up through some great scenery. I highly recommend this trip. We goto Baldi Hot Springs at the base of the Valcano (Most people go to Tabicon right down the street but Baldi very nice and no where near as crowded). The clouds finally open up for a spectacular view of the volcano that is very active that day. We kill the day drinking and hanging out in the hot springs watching the volcano. Pura Vida!!
After finally getting back to San Jose, New Buddy and I decide to head back to El Pueblo after showing and changing. Old Buddy decides that he likes his odds better at the BM.
El Pueblo is 10 times more packed on Saturday night. Way too crowded really. Can’t even get to a bar to buy a drink in most clubs. We hang out for while but end up back at the Marlin Empty handed but that is quickly cured. I love this Country!!

Sunday Morning, We scramble around to get back to the airport and catch a flight back Home. Pura Vida!!

Sounds like you had a great time. Glad to hear that the poker biz is picking up down there again. I have been going to Rio for awhile, but without the "casino subsidy" cannot go near as much as I could CR. Good to see that you are still around.

Thanatos340, Has new fanasy raised prices recently? I was there in March and I believe it was 12000 for an hour. I also live in Atlanta, just moved here about a month ago and was wondering if you knew of any local action, incall places. I am planning on a short, 3-4 day trip over July 4th weekend, wonder if its very busy then?

I know what you mean about El Pueblo, my last trip 7/02 I met a Honduran lady passing thru SJ for the first time to Panama on vacation. We hit it off and I have now been to Honduras 4 times, and vacationed with her in Guatemala besides. Great place for beautiful non pros

Good report. Little Maria lost her pregnancy about five or six months ago and may have been depressed. She is wild when drinking but maybe too sad when she is not drinking. I like her when drinking and putting on a mini-show at the bar at the Park Hotel. Good to hear you had some successes. It is always interesting to be with a first time visitor to CR and see their reaction to being in a candy store.

Thanatos, thanks for the update. Great report. I am heading to CR for the first time June 19th for a week. You paid $120 for a van and driver all day? That seems high to me. Did you have a van load of people? Why not just rent a car and drive over for 35 bucks? Also You never did score at El Pueblo? Is that a place where I might take a tica from BM or IDEM for dancing and fun? Or can you pick up ticas there?

Radioman, There were three of us who split the cost of the Van and Driver making the total cost $40 each. The reason this was the best option for us was mainly Comfort. These are really nice tourism vans, 3 Comfortable Bench seats in back to stretch out on and Windows all around to take in the scenery. It is a 3 hour drive to the Valcano. Costa Rica Driving customs are VERY different from our own. There are very few road signs and mostly back roads through small towns to get to Arenal. The roads are also poorly maintained and washed out in spots (It is the rainy season righ now).
It is a great drive out and back with lots to see and do along the way. Let someone else handle the driving so you can relax and enjoy the countryside. Getting there is half the fun.
No I didnt score at El Pueblo but had great time trying. If is very possible to score there if you are reasonably attractive. I am 34 and my buddy was 31 and had no trouble geting attention from the locals.
Yes, I would highly recommend taking a Tica with you to El Pueblo or you can go by yourself and find one once you get there. You will see some girls that you will reccognise from the BM hanging out at El Pueblo but it will be mostly non-working girls out getting drunk and having a good time.
