Well, this will be my first trip to the golden sanda of Rio. Though I am well travelled and have done P4P in many countries, this board has my imagination afire in anticipation of a great vacation. I will break it down by day, so some will undoubtedly be longer than others. Looking forward with great anticipation!

Day 1 (Friday)

Well, where to start….The flight out of Dallas left on time. I did manage to make my first mistake even before I left for the airport. I went online to aa.com to get seat assignments. Since this ticket was arranged over a month ago, with FF miles, they had not assigned me seats yet. So I went online to get them. I selected an exit isle seat. Dumb idea. DON’T TAKE AN EXIT ROW SEAT ON A LONG FLIGHT. I have traveled to a fair part of the world and should have remembered this. The seats in the exit rows only recline a few inches. Much less than regular seats. Needless to say, I did not sleep a wink in the entire 10 hours as I could not get comfortable.

However, once in Sao Paulo, I was happy. I was surprised to find that I did not go through customs and immigration in Sao Paulo. In my past experience, I always went through customs at the first stop inside a new country as the remainder of the flight was domestic and required no Customs/Immigration. Instead, I went through them when I arrived in Rio. Very different.

Also had an interesting altercation with the boarding gate. I had a carry-on, plus my fanny pack slung over my shoulder. I also pulled my Bose headphone case out of my carry-on just as I was preparing to board. This saves time in getting into my seat as I do not have to pull anything out of my carry-on. The ticket checking gal, decided that I had 3 carry-on items. So I put the headphones back into my carry-on, went through and then stopped and pulled them back out. How dense is that?

Day 2 (Saturday)

Arrived Rio on time and tired, but happy. Don had a car waiting and I got all squared away. Went to Alcazar and right off got to meet some of the guys. Priew, Cubanut, Wombat, MrBadFrosty and Hemp were there, as well as some other non CH fellows. It was nice to meet some of the faces to go with the posts. A real pleasure as they are all really great guys. The trip was starting off well!

After a quick bite to eat (an interesting steak sandwich with an egg on it served in toast), Don took Priew and I to Luomo.

Having mongered in many different places around the world over the years, I was quite comfortable in the environment, but was unprepared for the raw sexuality of a Terma. What a unique experience. It was kid in an eye candy store time.

Day 3 (Sunday)

Started the day slow. Not much happens here during the early hours. Alcazar and the other fav spots don’t open till 10 or 11 AM. Met Priew at Alcazars for breakfast. I have noticed a trend here. No one seems to have red sauce with their pasta dishes. Don later told me there are very few. I was raised on a dairy and am a bit traditional when it comes to things like milk and cheese, so I have been having issues with the taste of the cheese here. Oh, well. After a brief nap, we headed to the Monte Carlo. Today was Hemps birthday, so I wanted to buy him a drink in celebration. He is a real cool, down to earth guy, and I have taken a great liking to him. If you come to Rio, ya’ll gotta meet Hemp, he’s great.

At the Monte Carlo, we sat around admiring the view. About 30 girls ranging from a 4 to a7, with 1 or 2 in the 8 or 9 range.. Day 4 (Monday)

Started the day off relaxing a bit. I have been staying up later each night that I have been here, but for some reason I still wake up at the same time every morning….7:00 AM. This means that I have gotten less sleep with each passing night, and have started to burn out a little. It is now 2:20 AM and I will probably Still wake up at 7:00. Grrr…Relaxed most of the morning and saw a little of my neighborhood.

Around Noon I called Brazil Specialist to see if he wanted to meet for a drink. We agreed to get together at around 1:00PM. Right after that, Priew called and we met at Alcazar for coffee. Later we went to BS’s place to check it out. He has quite a nice set-up there. We all went to the KiloGrama (sp?) for Lunch. It was great meeting a face to go with all the posts here on the board. Thanks BS!

Priew, MrBadFrosty, Cubanut and I met Don at alcazar and went out to Barra to a friends place. We hung out at the pool and chatted for a while before moving on to Club 400 in Barra. This place is a bit different in that you do not change into a robe like the other Termas. You just hang in the bar in your street clothes, and if you find a girl you like, you go in the back.

Priew, MrBadFrosty and I went on to Luomo. This is my third straight night at Luomo. I must agree with Bwana Dik’s Guide. This place is really like going to Cheers. Got back to Alcazar around 4PM, and met Kmanrox. We headed to Solarium. Nice place. Clean, prices were fair, and there were at least 10 very hot garotas out of about 30 or so present. I have been to Italy around a dozen times, and I got to say this is the most authentic Italian food I have found outside of Italy. It is not cheap! We each had a starter, Main course, and had a cappuccino afterwards. Cost: R$ 180. But I must say it was worth every cent! The 3 Mushroom in Wine Sauce Starter was outstanding, and the Polenta dish (one of my favs), was one of the better I have had. Give it a try.

After dinner, it had reached about 10:30 pm, and we were tired, so we caught a cab back to Copa. KmanRox went home, and I went to the little bazaar that lines the center street span on Copa Beach every night except Sunday. Picked up a few gifts for some friends, and then headed home. A great day. Really looking forward to tomorrow!

Day 6 (Wed)

Slept in till about 10:30, and then met Priew at Alcazar. I gotta point out that although we all seem to go there to meet, the service is poor and I find the food horrible. Next trip, I will find another place. Priew and I went out to the Forte de Copacabana to the Café to eat. Met the gang back at Alcazars for a bit, then went to Kilograma for those who had not eaten yet.

Met around 2:30 pm with Priew and BJMO1998 and left for 4X4 in Centro.

Hung out there for around two hours. Did not session as the only one that caught my eye, left with Cubanut (Bastard!) CubaNut sure has an uncanny ability to attract the hotties. Maybe it is because he speaks good Portuguese….

Went to Breakfast with the gang, and then headed out to Sugar Loaf with BadMrFrosty. It was a great day for the trip up except the last 500 feet to the summit which was completely socked in fog. Nice trip though and we enjoyed the views from the top of the first hill.

Got back down to Copa in time to pack and be ready for the trip to the airport for the flight back home. The car picked me up at 5 PM for a 7:25 departure.

Here is where things went down hill. As we passed through Centro, the travel ground to a complete stand still. We spent two hours basically creeping over about 3 miles before we found out that there had been a serious accident on the Ponte Rio-Niteroi Bridge. Apparently one or more vehicles had actually gone over the edge of the bridge. We did not need to cross the bridge, but those who did had to take the same freeway we were on to get there. Anyway, the long of the sort of it is that I missed the flight. The one an hour later was also sold out as is the one tomorrow night. In fact, I now find that the first available ticket is not until Wednesday.

Stuck in Paradise a little longer. This presents a few personal and professional time difficulties, but I will find a way to work it out. I can go to the airport each day and try for stand-by, but it is a 45 min drive and R$50 each way, and I don’t know that I want to have the trip go sour at the end if stand-by does not work. Tomorrow I will go to the American Airlines office and see about maybe being routed through BA or something.

When I finally got back to Copa, I went to Luomo with another hombre and hooked up with this hot looking chick that Priew and I had both been eyeing all week. Her name is Melissa. She said that if I went to the airport and did a stand-by, I would almost assuredly get on, so that was how I planned my evening,.

Went back down to the apartment to make ready for the trip, then was heading down to Alcazar, for a cup of coffee. Met the Hombre taking my apartment as I was heading out. EvilTwin is a veteran of Rio, and was a really nice guy. It was a pleasure to meet you guy!

After a cup of coffee and some throat lozenges, I met Sandman and DonGringo for the first time. A couple of real nice guys. Sandman was even nice enough to help me load more credits into the cell phone. I had a call to the states to make and did not want to pass a dead phone to the next guy, so I was trying to load credits from the card I bought. It is really significant how helpful speaking Portuguese is. I really need to learn it.

Priew showed up and we decided to go admire the view on the beach. Hung out around the beach till around 7:00 PM, then I headed down through the street bazaar one last time. I picked up a couple of last minute gifts.

Went back to the apartment and the taxi Don had arranged was there, so off to the airport again. I arrived in plenty of time and after being sent back and forth between 2 desks a couple of times, I was ticketed through on a flight which actually left at 10:00 PM. Raced through the check points and got to the plane just on time.

As I settled in my seat, an announcement from the captain informed us that there was a malfunction light on, and that the technicians were on the phone with the Boeing guys in Tulsa. They would update as soon as they new what was going on. An hour and a half later, the captain informed us that the maintenance people would have their assessment within ANOTHER hour and a half. They apologized but said that no one could leave the plane due to security issues and the length of time it would take to re board everyone. So anyway we finally got off the ground at 2 AM. We had been sitting there in the plane at the gate for 4 hours. Needless to say everyone missed their connections, as it was now 8:20 AM Miami time.

In Miami, I raced to the ticketing desk to arrange a new ticket to Dallas, but was informed that the last ticket for the entire day (6 flights) had been booked. I could do standby for Dallas, or I could take an 11:30 AM to Houston and a 2:30PM from Houston to Dallas. I took the Houston. All went well from there and I finally got into Dallas around 3:30 PM.

Well, putting the flight headaches aside, I must say that I LOVE RIO. I am planning on returning sometime in the next 3 or 4 months!

Also, got to say that Fiestas are the greatest. The price for14 girls, taxis for the girls, good and beverage, the millenium suite at VIPs, and the "book" delivery came to a paultry $213 per person (6 of us). I couldn't beleive it!

Mishaps with American Airlines have happened on several of my return trips from Rio. Cortogringo and I once got bumped off a flight because it was overbooked. We just saw it as another opportunity to enjoy the garotas an extra night. My last trip, AA had problems with the tires and we were all sitting on the plane for 2 hours.

Even with all these mishaps, the benefits of a Rio trip are well worth it!

Rio Rico

IceFire - I had a 2 bedroom about 3/4 of a block off the beach. No view and the rooms were fairly small, but at $55 a night, you could not get a better deal. You can take all the girls home that you want with no visitors fee, and there is 24 hour security. It was no spacious modern place, but it was fine. If you are paying more than the $55 a night, then you will get more. Another Hombre I hung with down there, was paying $135 a night, but had a beautiful place on the rooftop. It just depends on what you are paying.

BTW, guys, my bad. The word in Portuguese is Festa. It is Fiesta in Spanish. I kept calling it Fiesta and Hunterman was cool enough to PM with the correction so as not to embarrass me. The word there is Festa.

Rio is absolutely fantastic and your experience proves it. The eye candy in some of the strip clubs is also pretty exciting (Frank's Bar, Barbarella). Just a further inducement to go back and explore other venues. Muinto obrigado for your fiesta pics.

Great report and pics. I hope Angel`s still there when I come to Rio for the first time in December. Man she`s hot! Rio isn`t exactly close to Norway, but thanks to your pics I can almost feel the sand between my toes. (Cold! Cold! COLD! Aw...CRAP! It was snow) What would you recommend a first timer in Rio, hotel or apartment? Once again: Great report.

The blonde, Angelica, brought her own music CD. As soon as the girls showered and got into the robes, she threw that CD on and the place went nuts. A few minutes later we were all upstairs and all the robes came off and into the pool was every garota.

I don't care what they want to listen to. If it gets them shaking and grooving and moving, it's music to my ears as well.

Remember, these are Brazillian teenagers. Just like American teens, we can't always relate to what they listen to.

It was nice hanging with you in Rio. It looks like you had a little hassle on your return flight...AGAIN! I finally arrived home this morning. I joked with Don the day before because he indicated that I was able to watch a lot of members come and go!

I remember you coming back to Alcazar and saying..."Guess what...I missed my flight". BTW...I plan on sending you some video thread of our adventures at the Festa. I have a clip of you in the pool at the VIPS...when the four girls joined hands and kept you in the middle. Man... the expression on your face was priceless!

What surprised me at the Festa, you and couple of the guys indicated that you were too shy to party in the open. With this in mind, we ordered (6) separate rooms for privacy....but then we rarely used them! It's funny how things turn out at these festas, as you will be surprised how some guys can really loosen up!...Mind you....we had a full spectrum of professions in our group!

And yes....I remember the incident you mentioned in your trip report about the Luomo's incident. Yes....this guy had bunch of women on him at the SAME time....but what was really funny was....these girls were looking at each other and didn't realize they all done the same guy. Poor guy, they were all giving him a hard time! I was laughing my ass off!....Yes....the problems we have in Rio!

We spent the entire trip together....EXCEPT at night. Val usually ended his adventures with a Therma.....and as Val can attest, I faithfully ended all my days in Rio with a HELP visit.

I was kind of surprised at HELP because I heard some much negative feedback about it. Even while I was in Rio...the CH members rarely went inside with me, but I couldn't stay away from this place. YES....you will find trash inside of HELP, but you can always find hotties. Yes, the thermas can be pretty consisent...but a few girls leave the Thermas and go to HELP.

Val, Cubanut, Hemp, Wombat, Snooky and few others that I hung with in Rio were always pleased at the girls I took out of HELP eah night. Val would joke with me each morning at Alcazar and request to see pictures of whatever girl I took home the night before.

Mind you....I am very picky when it comes to women. I would rather go home alone if I didn't find anyone...but this NEVER happened! Since I usually always had a Therma girl earlier...I was never too horny at HELP at nite. There was always stunners available...in my opinion! I will post pictures later and let everyone be the judge...but regardless of what anyone says....I loved this place! Yes...the girls play games because it's a little more competition for the hot ones, but that's what I loved...the Thrill of the Hunt for hotties.

Well....so much for rambling, it was really nice to meet you Val and hopefully we'll meet again.

Hey all, I can attest to Priew's prowess in Help. The girls he managed to pull out of there were incredibly hot! Especially the one with the short black hair that we saw on the beach topless!

Priew is smoother than I am though, so I think that had a lot to do with it

Let me get back to you in on that BKK/Pattaya trip, since I just returned....I have to see where I stand. I know we discussed this in Rio, but I din't know you we ready to go so soon! You know how much I love Pattaya and I think it would be fun to hang out again!

I agree with DonGringo & Cubanut 100%. I was with Cubanut at the Festa last week and can attest the girls really got into the action with the music! BTW...isn't that what we want!

On another note....Cubanut, I didn't get a chance to thank you for setting up the Festa. Like Val mentioned....Cubanut spent countless hours setting up our festa and it turned out GREAT! It will be an everlasting memory of Rio that I'll probably never forget.

In addition to this, Cubanut and I hung out a few times and I owe this guy a lot. This guy was always doing a million things at once...but always managed to help out a newbie whenever one was in need. I personally owe you BIG time because you handled translations and other things for me whenever I called you.

On one incident, Cubanut came into Kilogram restaurant and had a professional photographer and this girl that a had a killer body with him. I wasn't sure if she was a working girl or not. Well.....later that evening I was banging this same girl...of course, with the help of Cubanut. I made one call to Cubanut...and he played phone tag with me and the girl for quite some time and managed to set it all up. I couldn't speak the language and she didn't understand English, but it didn't stop us from having a good time!

One other thing about Cubanut....this guy is an animal! I thought I could go thru a few women...but this guy takes the cake! I had to seriously ask him what he takes to keep this pace up. I seen this guy in action at the Festa and Thermas....and even outside of help. Trust me, the only way he could feed his appetite....is by having a daily festa, daily therma run or two, sampling girls BS apartment....then hitting that wild Villa Rosa place with women on multiple floors.

He indicated that he thought I wouldn't care for the environment at the Villa....just as he didn't care the environment inside of HELP. That goes to show...everyone has their own tastes for entertainment....and that's quite okay!

Anyways....it was nice to meet you in Rio Cubanut, as you are a Class act in many ways. I definitely want to hook in Chicago as we planned.

Mitch -- That music is Brasilian "Funky", a product of the slums. It takes a minimum of instruments (and sometimes less talent) to produce, and typically gets the garotas butts moving, especially those of the "favela rats". The translated lyrics are as raw as you could possibly imagine. Were you to go to a "baile funk" in Rocinha, Vidrigal or selfsame some Saturday night, that would be ALL you would hear. Bossa Nova it ain't, but then again, neither am I.

Also the puppy fat girl with the blue/pink top makes me chuckle. Obviously she's overage if she's in VIPs but she looks as if she wandered into the festa on her school break.

Hey guys, I'm new to the site. This is my first post. Valt was the first guy I came across when I began exploring the site & sent him a PM asking questions that could have been answered had I simply read his great trip report first. A couple of things that I didn't see addressed in the report were the following possiblities of hook ups that I have heard exist in Rio. Well, let me explain first that I'm not the type that can meet a lady in a terma for a few minutes and then bust a nut within the hour. I'm kind of shy and don't like the hurried atmosphere of a spa or terma. I would much rather go somewhere that I can check out the ladies, see if there is chemistry and then ask them for a TLN (all nighter). What is the best way to go about this in Rio? The best spots? How much normally is it for a TLN or even if you want to have the lady hang out with you all day/night (24 hours). Can you go to a terma and ask the lady if she would be interested in meeting you later on or is this against most house rules? Can you just go to the beach and walk up to ladies like I've heard? Seems so hard to believe from a guy like me that has experienced more than his fair share of rejection from American ladies. Hope I'm posting this in the right place and any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I recommende that you read...no, make that study, Bwana Diks Rio guide. There are also tons of posts and trip reports in the archives regarding Rio. You will get an excellend foundation of knowledge then be blown away by the reality when you get here.
All your questions have been reviewed and are frequently updated by visiting CHer's.

You will probably be challenged to come up with a question that has not been discussed here before....but do come back and often!

You will find rejection very rarely from Brazilian ladies if you have money. Do what Sandman says.

Yes, there is a way to turn on a notification system so that you receive email anytime you get a PM, but I don't recall how you do it. Just play around and I'm sure you'll find it our someone will come along and tell you how to do it.

Hi Bwana. Last night I stayed up two hours later than usual because I couldn't stop reading your guide. Really excellent. Answered every question I had. Bwana, it's not the notification of PM's that I was wondering about. That can be turned off/on by going to your profile. It is when a member responds to a thread that you had commented on. For example, the only way I knew whether you had replied to my post on the thread was by going to the thread. Other boards I have been on will e-mail you when you have a PM in your mailbox or when somebody has added to a thread you had posted to. Thanks again for the great guide Bwana!

You have to do a "QuickSearch" or a 1 or 3 day-search to see what the activity has been in the threads (DiscusSearch has other search options of find posts or information). QuickSearch lists all activity since your last QuickSearch, if you wait to long the list can be daunting.

By the way, I love Brasil funk and sometimes go to Friday/Saturday night "Big Mix" parties with one of the radio stations here in the favalas with a Brazil friend who can listen to the radio and know where they are. We take a taxi to the bottom of the favala and go up the hill on mototaxis. Don't think I would recommend it to most CH board members.

Good job reading Bwana's guide. The first time for me in Rio was like 14 years ago while in the US Navy and the second last year. The guide is right on. I hired a guide named Don of Rio Trips and it was worth every penny because he saved me from clip joints etc. I really hope you have a good time in Rio because it is a great time if you do it smart and safe.

Quadrifoglio was my favorite eats there in Rio on my first trip. Not cheap, but great food. Hope the two of you enjoyed it
