Due to severe time constraints, the pursuit of other diversions and other variables I haven't written any reports since my first trip to Medellin, which seems like a lifetime ago but was only 8 months and 5 trips ago - not writing reports doesn't mean I haven't been active.

I don't like to do anything half-assed and writing a proper trip report takes a lot of time. And I know I'm going to be swamped at the office for the next couple of weeks, but I'll put something together on the plane coming back.

I'm also ambivalant about reporting on a pristine destination - pristine in that you will not find any other Americans or foreignors here unless you really try - or stay at a corporate type hotel. But the reality is, Medellin (and Colombia in general) will not be overrun with tourists anytime soon (except for Cartagena). Bad press and cost/relative difficulty to get here does not make it tourist-friendly. But they are VERY friendly to tourists.

This is the first time I've come up for air since I landed late Wednesday evening (it's Saturday morning). The action here is INCERDIBLE. My first 24 hours on the ground almost killed me. Very difficult to keep up the pace, but I forced myself. In the first 24 hours (well 30) I had four girls from very different places. I decided to try everything from a street girl to strip club girl to an escort/prepagado girl. They were all different and all great.

I'll put together a run-down on prices and details and I may post a photo or two.

Medellin is not for everyone. If you need to be spoon-fed, Medellin isn´t for you. If you need to hang out with the guys, Medellin isn't for you. If you're loud and obnoxious, Medellin is definately not for you.

But if you want GFE experiences with girls running the range from cute to model-quality, Medellin may be right for you.

And if perfect weather, great food, incredible scenary is important to you, then Medellin could be right for you.

And let me dispel one myth right now. I've been to Medellin three times now. I don't use a guide. I don't use a human translator. And my Spanish is so bad I must sound retarded everytime I open my mouth - I frequently refer to myself as Babosso (sp?) which I think literally means drooler, but is what you call a really stupid person.

Most people here do not speak English. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A PROBLEM. Just make an effort and bring an electronic translator.

It's 10am, just finished breakfast with Leday and put her in a taxi, now I'm going back to sleep. Carolina is coming over at 3pm and she should keep me busy right up until I leave for the airport at 7am.

Great to hear more good news is comming out of Medellin. I agree that one can be hesitant about "letting the cat out of the bag" when it comes to pristine locations. I remember being in Cuba when Varadero was just started it's rise then looked on in disdain at it's peak then wiped a away a tear during it's demise.

I'm sure Medellin will be safe for awhile.

I hope to leave Medellin the way I find it in May.

So I'm looking foward to your report. I speak fluent Spanish and do have many locations for girl action in mind but always appreciate more info.

WS: Your love and respect for MDE and all it has to offer still comes through clearly and passionately in your reports. You've long ago pushed me over the edge about placing MDE on my "Must Visit" List and your consistent admiration for MDE will finally given me the strength to resist the siren call of my CTG/Cali GFs. In layman's terms, I was seriously considering MDE last trip, but got distracted by the "sure thing" from the CTG friends, many of whom, by the way, are Paisas.

I am looking forward to your notes on MDE. I have recently decided to visit Colombia (win over Indonesia) and will do so at the end of the year. I was thinking about remaining around the CTG area but would love to hear more re other parts. Since I am fluent in spanish and I do not mind 'looking around' I think MDE may be a good fit...plus I do enjoy scenery other than chicas.

Yeah, it is pricey considering the local economy. I'm guessing the girl gets half and the agency gets half.

To me it was worth it for the convenience factor. It's pretty easy for me spend 100,000P in a Medellin strip club with just drinks/tips. Then if you take a girl out, you pay the salida, anywhere from 50 - 100k. And if you have a driver with you, you're at 200k before you even pay the girl.

Much easier to pick up the phone and have someone like Carolina come right up to your hotel room.

I think the hourly rates are out-of-line, but for all night, not a problem.

And there's no bait and switch with these guys - they state the return policy is simple: If upon delivery you don't like how the girl looks, just give her cabfare home (10,000P).

Well, there's a change in perspective:

I thought it was more like US$200-300 (equivalent in P) for TLN based on the website. But if one can get a TLN for P200-300k for a hottie like that, with potential for repeat "dates" (My taste is towards repeating with a hottie versus going for quantity) IMO it's certainly worth the price.

IMO, there's no question that the casa girls are a clear 1-3 rating point drop from the real hotties. Of course, you can search and find the rare gem - there are there for sure - but it's worth a premium if you want the hotter looking girl.

i think those rates are sky high. probably because they found someone to translate the site into english! i better not tell the paisas at the rey here in san jose that their paisanas back home are charging more then they are. hahahaha

you know the average colombian doesn't even make $200/month. not bad if you can make that in a couple hours.

of course you can't see the faces but from what i can see.....those girls are nothing special by medellin standards and not worth the double price.

that being said, it looks like a very good venue for the average monger who doesn't want to venture too far from his hotel....as he probably shouldn't in medellin. medellin is a tough nut to crack but once you get to the meat......wow!

Myself, and I am sure others, would be interested in you elaborating on your take in the Medellin scene.

My style is to stay of the beaten path (I still check it) and like to venture in less travelled areas of the cities. I am fluent in spanish which I think puts me at a significant advantage when dealing with the scene in latin america.

So if you could provide some of your insights re clubs or areas to check it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

i really don't think there is much of a scene at least compared to most of the other popular destinations. i think the average hombre shouldn't venture outside cartagena. if you speak spanish and you are a well seasoned traveler rather then a tourist ....ok. of course it's not my style to fly into a city, call some call girls into my hotel suite and fly out.

i don't think i can be of much help because i just follow my girlfriend around the country and she takes me places and we do things.hehehehe i'm completely at her mercy. she doesn't let me get bored! i'm very lucky because i wouldn't ever find or go to these places on my own even though i have been living 20 years in latin america.

maybe wallstreet went to some of the strip clubs, bars and discos and took better notes then i did. i was fucked up and just grooving on the moment most of the time. i was doing my own thing and selfishly not thinking that i should take notes because there might be someone else as crazy as me to do all that stuff they say you shouldn't do.

sorry...i always get emotionally and personally involved when i travel so it's still hard to share with strangers but hopefully someone gleans some sort of impressions that might help. i'm just a single man for 1 1/2 years and new to the hobby. having a great time. leave for my first trip to rio next week. wheeeeee

I only went to the strip clubs to find a girl or two to take out. I’ve had good luck in the clubs, better than at the casas. I find the strip club girls more animated and better performers, while the casa girls are more business like. Just my opinion.

I also agree with you that while Carolina was expensive (450,000 for the night) I anticipated that if she was good, there’d be repeat “dates” at a discount and my initial “investment” would be amortized accordingly. Case-in-point with Carolina: I did repeat with her on this trip and have her contact info for when I’m back in town. Our tastes are similar in I’d also rather repeat with a hottie than go for quantity.

I disagree with you on several points.

1. I don’t fly into a city, call some call girls into my hotel suite and fly out. As I’ve reported in my many reports, the restaurants, sights and accommodations are as important to me as the girl I’m with. I love going out to the local clubs and find that when I treat the girl like we’re on a “date”, I get great service. Most girls implore me to call them again, so we can “go out”.

2. There is a HUGE scene in Medellin – and after 3 trips there and 2 trips to CTG, I think the scene in MDE is bigger than CTG. Difficult to gage with the beach prospects in CTG.

3. You can certainly wander away from the hotel. All of Poblado is safe and I walked it at all hours of the night. Yes, there are dangerous neighborhoods in Medellin – but there are very dangerous neighborhoods in CTG also. If you go to these places you shouldn’t go alone and you shouldn’t do anything stupid that would attract attention. But those rules apply to virtually everywhere.

4. I do not speak anywhere near fluent Spanish, but I make an effort and with my electronic translator I get by fine. Having a good head on your shoulders is much more important that speaking Spanish fluently.

This was my third trip to Medellin and fifth overall to Colombia, the two last trips being Cartagena. I’m not the biggest fan of CTG as the total package, much due to the oppressive heat and humidity coupled with a severe dearth of air conditioning and the overall “touristy” feel of the city. Thankfully these inconveniences are not suffered in Medellin.

Once again I booked the flight through COPA, but with a twist: the JFK-Panama flight leaves at 5am and gets into Panama at 10:30am – perfect if you’re connecting with the 12:30pm CTG connection, but not so good if you’re connecting to MDE as the flight leaves at 7:30pm. But for about the same price I booked Continental from Newark to Orlando leaving at 12:30pm with a one hour connect time in Orlando at 4:30pm. That flight gets into PTY at 6:30pm, which gave me time for a couple of drinks in the Presidents Club before my 7:30pm connection. Got into Medellin at 8:45pm, was the first off the plane, went right through immigration and then was once again ridiculously patted down upon EXITING the airport. I’ll never understand that, but when in Rome. . .

I previously stayed at the Dann Carlton and Poblado Plaza Hotels, both very good hotels in the Poblado neighborhood. This time I stayed at the Torre Poblado Serviced Apartments, a few blocks down from the Dann Carlton on Carrera 42, between Calles 9 and 10. This area is chock-full of restaurants and hip bars and the rich and beautiful Paisas that go there.

So here’s the run-down on the Torre Poblado: I booked over the phone after 3 emails went unanswered.
I spoke with Ana Maria (011-57-4-268-0244) who was very friendly and speaks great English. She’s the afternoon/evening receptionist. I also booked the taxi through the hotel for 40,000P – as it turns out the driver, Juan (011-57-310-839-9747) is Ana Maria’s husband – very friendly speaks decent English and can get you anything you want. I used him to drive 3 of the 4 nights. He charged 20,000P an hour, although the going rate is 15P, but he was so accommodating I didn’t want to haggle.

The drive into the city is great – very winding and the anticipation was really building. We pulled into the Torre Poblado and I was warmly greeted by Ana Maria. The small staff at the Torre Poblado is much more personable and less stiff than at the other hotels I stayed at.

The rate was 125,000 pesos a night and I stayed for 4 nights. At first I thought the TP was the best bargain ever: my apartment (10-04) was huge with 2 full bathrooms a nice living room/dining room, kitchen, big bedroom with huge walk-in closet that connected the bedroom to the bathroom. Plus there were balconies off both the living room and bedroom with an incredible view of the mountain. Made a great backdrop for some of my photos.

Now the negatives: When I first arrived, it was night and the temp was in the upper 70s and it was humid – nothing that a few minutes of AC wouldn’t cure. Incredibly, the Torre Poblado does not offer air-conditioning! Now Medellin is no CTG, but I made good use of the AC in the Dann Carlton and Poblado Plaza. All I had here was a K-mart issued fan. On the plus side, the circulation was good and it did get cool enough at night – in fact I was asked to turn off the fan by one of my guests. But it did get somewhat uncomfortable during the day, just enough to miss the AC. And after a few vigorous sessions the bedroom became very, very hot.

Still, not enough to put me off. Plus the staff was very friendly and there were no problems bringing girls back – no registration and no fees – so I thought. I checked out at 6:15am and didn’t bother looking at the bill details. They charged me 90,000 pesos for “persona adicional” for three nights. Not a huge amount, but it was never mentioned so be aware unless you can negotiate it, you will be charged. Hard to negotiate something if you don’t know it’s an issue.

Another negative is the noise. Since there is no AC, I kept the balcony doors open at all times and from 10pm – 3am the music from all the open-air bars is really loud. For me this was a non-issue as I usually sleep with earplugs – but be forewarned this is a very loud neighborhood at night.

I still don’t know if I’d return. I’m very particular so maybe it’s me.

Check-in was a breeze and I asked Juan if he was available to take drive me around. 30 minutes later I was unpacked, freshened up and in Juan’s car. First stop was going to be Show San Diego, a 2nd tier strip club. Juan asked me if I wanted to see some street girls before going to the club and I said sure. We hit the Centro area by the Botero Museum and the street was festooned with a large variety of SGs. Juan went down (or up) Care 53 and explained the younger SGs were on the left and the older (some REALLY older) SGs were on the right. We stopped on the corner for a minute and I saw a few girls that were very cute, but it’s hard to tell with the lighting. Juan said these girls probably wouldn’t go back to the hotel and I had no desire to use any of the short-time hotels, so it was off to Show San Diego.

There was no cover charge and the place was busy. Juan came in with me and I ordered a bottle of Aguardiente. You gotta love a driver that’ll sit and drink with you. It was coming up on midnight and I was pretty tired, so I wanted to find a girl and get outta there. A couple caught my eye but they were sitting with customers. Most of the girls didn’t do anything with me. Then Paola went on stage to strip and once I got a look at her natural D cups I knew she was the one. After the three-song set, she walked around the room collecting tips and Juan told her I’d like to talk to her.

Trouble was, she didn’t do Toda La Noche and that’s what I wanted. But she was available the next day from 11am – 5pm and asked for 250,000. I told her I was a fat gringo, not a stupid one. That got her down to 200,000. I smiled and said no, then called another girl over that caught my eye named Camilla. Not wasting time, I asked her how much for TLN (until 8am) and she said 130,000. That’s more like it. She said the salida to the house was 70,000 if she left now, or free if I waited until 2am. I was happy to pay the 70,000. Paola then said 180,000 for the afternoon – to which I agreed. I paid the tab – about 40,000P and the three of us headed to Juan’s car. Juan got Paola’s info and said he’d bring her to the hotel at 11am on Thursday.

Thursday was shaping up nicely: Camilla until 8am, then Paola for the afternoon and Carolina, an escort that I had booked for the evening.

Camilla and I got to know each other on the couch. I had my laptop and speakers set up and had some Juanes, Shakira and Thalia DVDs ready to go. This was a HUGE hit with all the girls and was a real icebreaker. It also set the pace nicely – I don’t like rushing into anything.

Camilla was a great kisser – we kissed for close to an hour before moving to the bedroom. Great, thin body and a great performer. Everything was covered including the BJ, not a big deal to me, but I know a deal breaker for some.

I was now exhausted and cleaned up and hit the bed. Out like a light with Camilla wrapped in my arms.

At 7:30am she ASKED if I wanted to go at it again before she left. No problem. We went at it until 9am and then I put her in a taxi and headed upstairs for breakfast, her declining my invitation to join me. They serve breakfast on the 10th floor, on a veranda with a great view of Medellin. It was open air and really wonderful. Breakfast was eggs made to order, nothing special, but very relaxed and included in the price.

The very efficient maid service had the apartment cleaned by the time I finished breakfast. I called to confirm my appointment with Carolina. I learned about www.lesamisnet.com on another site, which gave them a great review. The prices are on the high side, especially by the hour. But if you like TLN like me, I think it’s in line.

I called the agency to confirm my appointment with Carolina at 7pm and Daniela the next day at 7pm. They said they’d get a hold of the girls and confirm with me later that afternoon.

The next thing I know, I get a call from downstairs: Juan has Paola and should they send her up. Absolutely! Paola looked great – she had a bit of an Asian look to her, but I was really interested in her D-cups. We went through the get-to-know-you routine on the couch, while some Paulina Rubio videos played in the background. I opened one of the 4 bottles of Champagne I bought at the duty-free in Panama and I was on my way to getting smashed before noon. Vacation is great!

Paola was very enthusiastic – we had a great session in the bedroom and then we took showers. I wasn’t quite hungry yet, but I had been dreaming about the Chorizo at La Doctora , located next to the Poblado Plaza Hotel, within walking distance of the Oviedo Mall.

I had purchased a cell phone on my first trip, but lost it at some airport, somewhere – the prime suspects being the TSA agents at Miami Airport. Anyway, I think it’s essential to have a phone while on the ground anywhere and although my T-Mobile GSM phone now works in CTG and MDE, I’m not a fan of the $4.99 a minute they charge. So off to Oviedo we went.

Buying a cell phone in Colombia is a process: you need a couple of photos, they fingerprint you, and there’s a bit of paperwork to do. It takes a good hour and a half, although if my Spanish was better I probably could have done it in 45 minutes. I got a nice Nokia 1100 for 70,000P ($30) all included – definitely worth it.

I was now hungry and we walked over to La Doctora. They specialize in meat and the Chorizo is awesome. I called the agency to let them know I now had a cell phone and they told me Daniela was no longer working for them – she had a new boyfriend who was picking up her University fees. But Carolina was confirmed, but she had some exam at school and couldn’t make it until 9:30pm. I told them no problem and paid the bill at La Doctora: about $13 for two people.

Paola and I headed back to the hotel and finished the bottle of Champagne. We started fooling around again and then round two began in earnest. After another great session we cleaned up and it was almost 5pm. I paid Paola and walked her downstairs to put her in a cab.

I hate wasting time in a hotel room, but I had almost 5 hours to kill until Carolina arrived. Then I remembered Sukhumvitter’s great report where he said the streetwalkers were out in the late afternoon and you could see them in real light. Plus I liked what I saw last night with Juan. So I took a taxi to Centro and got out by the Botero Museum. I walked the few blocks towards Car. 53 and walked by a nice sampling of SGs, all hanging out in front of short-time hotels. I walked up the block and circled back to the other side of the street. There were A LOT of girls out and many very VERY doable. I had been warned that this area was fairly dangerous, especially for a Gringo, but it was still light out and I made sure to keep my wits about me.

I walked the entire area and really liked what I saw. I was back at the starting point and saw a tall chica who looked attractive. I went up to her, asked her name, then told her I was in town for a few days and staying in Poblado – would she like to go back to my hotel. She immediately said no, she can’t leave the area. I couldn’t understand if it was can’t or won’t leave the area, and after asking and being rejected a second time, I thanked her and headed up the street. A minute later she and her friend came running up behind me. Her friend asked the name of the hotel and then said something like “don’t harm her” and after I assured her my intentions were honorable (well, so to speak) we got into a taxi and headed back to Poblado.

We made small talk en route: her name was Leday (pronounced Lady) and she said she was 18 years old. But when I asked her for ID, she said she didn’t have any. I didn’t think much of it as I didn’t need to register her at the hotel, but in retrospect I should have asked the ID question before getting into the taxi. I’m bad with guessing ages and she looked 18 in person, but the pictures I took of her make her look younger and I don’t feel right about posting any here.

I was also having a harder time understanding her – the accent was a little different from the other girls I met in Medellin. The electronic translator really came in handy with her.

Once we got upstairs, I got her a drink (beer) and got the music videos rolling. She was really into Juanes and once that was playing, and she took a look around the place, I could see she started to relax. She understood why I would rather come back her rather than use a short-time hotel.

We had a great session, starting in the living room with the sun setting over the mountain in the background and then we moved into the bedroom. Damn, if they only had AC, the Torre Poblado would be a slam-dunk best place to stay in MDE. As I’m thinking about it, the security was great, but unobtrusive, less formal than at the hotels, but still providing safety.

Anyway, Leday provided decent service and then we settled back on the couch. It was coming up on 8:30, so I told her I was meeting someone and it was time to go. She gave me her phone number and I gave her 100,000P for the 2.5 hours she was there. I walked her downstairs and Juan was in the carport, so I had him take her back to Centro. I told her I was meeting up with Carolina at 9:30 and he said he’d be waiting downstairs to drive us to dinner and then out to Mango’s.

I straightened up the apartment a little, freshened up and right at 9:30pm, Ana Maria from downstairs called letting me know Carolina had arrived. When I opened the door, I was blown away by what I saw. Stunning girl. Guys will always argue about paying high prices, but this is truly a case where I got what I paid for.

We got to know each other on the couch – she’s a psychology major at a local university and lives with her mother. We kissed a little and she seemed either a little shy or slightly standoffish, but with her looks I was willing to let it slide. I just hoped it wouldn’t be a problem.

We went downstairs and Juan drove us to La Fragata, a great seafood restaurant (they also have branches in CTG and BOG). The place is really nice, but very formal and just a little stiff. They had a piano player and only one other table was full. The food was excellent and the price wasn’t bad, considering how formal the place was – about $45 and we had several drinks.

It was coming up on midnight and we headed over to Mango’s. I’ve been there several times and they consistently have an incredible looking crowd. 10,000P to get in and the place was packed. They said no tables were open, but after giving the host 20,000P, a table for two right next to one of the stages opened right up.

This is a place to take a date, not find one. Interesting mix of music and everyone is drinking and having a good time. We danced a bit and it’s loud, so difficult to have conversation, which is fine with me. At about 1am I was tired and Carolina looked a little bored, so I suggested that we head out. She said she was having a great time and would I mind if we stayed a little longer? No problem. We danced some more and then called it a night at 2:30. Carolina is just very quiet, but she was warming up to me.

Back at the Torre Poblado, we started on the couch and I was in no rush. Eventually we moved into the bedroom and when the clothes came off I just stared in utter amazement. Her body was as great as her face – she was the total package. During our session, Carolina really got into and was very vocal – a real turn-on.

Great, great session and when I looked at the clock it was almost 5am. I had been in town for just over 24 hours and I could barely remember my first session with Camilla. Happy and content, I was asleep in about 2 minutes, Carolina’s body entwined with mine.

well done ws and i like your music....i stayed a week in torre poblado when a buddy from florida came in for a visit. me and my gf had the second floor room with the huge balcony but it had a/c. we never used it because it was cool enough at that time and the giant balcony was great. i really enjoyed that hotel. my gf has a small apartment out in the boonies.

i think that for a city with about 3 or 4 million people, and the most beautiful women, there is a very limited scene. i've been to the VERY FEW tourist-friendly famous strip clubs and discos and i helped a buddy get an escort or two.....it just ain't that obvious or that prevalent...sorry. nothing like the usual monger destinations. i've been to a couple other kinds of places around mde, too. my gf is pretty wild and has more experience then me in certain departments. we did some swinger clubs and gay/lesbo bars. they are out there but try to find them. my buddy from florida couldn't even find a massage parlor. of course i was always escorted by my gf on all my jaunts into the p4p scene so i sort of came in the back door. LOL it's worth the challenge.....believe me! the girls are amazing....right!

so i don't say you can't get laid easy and often but it ain't your daddys destination and your flat out wrong....it's NOT a huge scene. how can you have a huge scene in a place that has NO tourism! i haven't even been to rio (yet, going in the morning!), pattaya, bkk, etc. those are HUGE scenes. nada que ver! maybe you have to stay around a place long enough to get the proper respect for the energy and place and limitations. imo, irresponsible to encourage the average hombre to go to mde.....and to walk down hooker street in el centro!!! not recommended. just the fact that you would even attempt this proves my point.

I don't have any set schedule for visiting Medellin, but right now it's at the top of my list, especially after this last trip. I'll inbox you about hooking up for info. Nothing wrong with going to Laos and Cambodia, especially if you have 2 weeks to put together.

Carolina's lips were incredible - soft as clouds. And they're prominently displayed in all the photos because she didn't like to smile - she has braces.

And if you think this set of photos is good, I have another 10 or so I'm going to post - and I think they're a better set.

I'd say they were 35-36 C, approaching Ds. Paola, who I had in the early afternoon definately had Ds (She wouldn't let me take pics).

I think five nights is fine. I stayed for four nights on each of my three trips. The nice thing is coming from the East Coast, Colombia is in the same time zone for half the year (they don't have daylight savings). So there's no jet lag and you can hit the ground running.

I haven't been to the Playboy Penthouse, but I know where it is (up the mountain towards the InterContinental near the Tesoro Mall). I know it's not for me as I like privacy and wouldn't want to share the common areas with people I didn't know. There's guys on another board who all love the place and they come across like guys who like to party loudly - and that's the last thing I want when I'm on vacation. I had my fill of soccer hooligans while in Thailand.

Carolina is hot - and not camera shy. She wanted me to take picture after picture. Then we went through the catalog, deleted the bad ones and I burned a CD for her.

I liked the Poblado Plaza - but when I stayed there I was exclusively with Tatiana. I wouldn't have been comfortable bringing back four different girls in one day through their lobby - and the last night on this trip I came back with a real obvious street girl - no problem at the Torre Poblado but it would have been an embarrassment at the Poblado Plaza as well as the Dann Carlton.

And I'm intrigued by the street girls of Medellin - I may concentrate my attentions there on my next trip and I could see bringing back two or three at a time to the Torre Poblado, but that wouldn't fly at the Dann Carlton or Poblado Plaza.

But you'd be okay bringing one girl at a time to the Poblado Plaza - I think the guest fee is 30,000P.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you here, so we'll have to agree to disagree.

I disagree that a place can only have a huge scene if they have sex tourist support. The local men in most countries are the base support of prostitution. The sex tourist just scratches the surface. The point you make echoes that of the NGO's and feminazi groups out there, although I don't think it's intentional.

And all your buddy had to do to find a massage parlour was look in the yellow pages under Massage - it ain't that hard. Ditto for escorts.

So for him, and guys who want to trip over action, Bangkok, Pattaya and AC are perfect. You can't help but get laid there. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm not telling anyone to go to or not to go to Medellin. Danger is relative. Mexico has way more kidnappings than Colombia, but Colombia gets the bad press (although Mexico is starting to catch up).

I wouldn't walk in Centro after dark, never did. But it's okay while it's light out. And I'm not the only one who feels that way - Sukhumvitter pointed it out in his Medellin report. Or maybe we're both nuts.

But I do appreciate your post - if nothing else, I learned that some of the apartments at Torre Poblado have A/C. I'll call AnaMarie tomorrow to see how many apartments have A/C. Then I can recommend the Torre Poblado without hesitation.

and it is true that my experiences in medellin were very much different, thanks to my gf, then they might have been solo.....but for the better.

i generally fall in love 100 times a day when in colombia. my gf is very liberal.....lucky me.

i spent a few months in medellin living in my gf's apartment and hanging out with her family. her mom is a couple years younger then me even though my gf is almost 28....i'm 55. her mom went to school in london for 2 years so she speaks english..... i speak spanish so we spent a lot of time talking and became quite close. i gained a lot of insight not readily available to extranjeros.

i admit i'm a contrarian here on this board. i am even helping the family financially and now helping them start a small new business. personal safety is a big subject among the locals and i'm saying that it is foolish and dangerous to pick up girls off the street in centro....day or night.

in a couple hours i leave for my first trip to rio. i hope this doesn't hurt my karma in colombia! :-)

i'll see if the medellin scene is HUGE compared to rio. based on what i see on the internet.....nada que ver.....not even close. gotta go!

Ahh, so now there ARE massage parlors in Medellin, when you emphatically stated that there were none - and you would know because you spent several months in Medellin.

It's much easier to criticize other people's reports than to write one - you are the perfect example of that. So far the majority of your posts are criticisms and you make statements that are so wrong that your credibility on this board must be questioned.

That is, if you had any credibility.

I take trips, make notes and then report back on them. Over the years I've received numerous thank yous from guys who have followed my reports and had great vacations themselves. That's why I write them.

People like you are why I don't write them as often.

I would suggest that you write a report to redeem yourself. It seems you are too busy to write one, so why don't I sum up your posts on Medellin and put them in a report for you.

It would read something like this:

Tamoroy's (and girlfriend's) Awesome Medellin Report

1. There is a very small scene in MDE, and it can only be found by following my girlfriend. I don't remember any places, names or addresses.

2. There are no massage parlours.

3. It is way too dangerous to pick up street girls in Centro. Don't do it. Thank God I have my girlfriend.

What you say of the Torre makes me think it would be my first choice - except for no A/C so that rules it out... but Tamaroy mentions he had A/C there (true?) - if so, I wonder if there are some rooms with A/C and you just had one that didn't have it?

WS, we have the same taste in women, and the same taste in our programs - quality over quantity; more than just sex we also like the "date" aspects and enjoy the company at a meal, drinks, or in the AM; we both enjoy a location that has sufficient "scene" but yet it is somewhat 'hidden' so that the typical man on hobby won't enjoy searching when they can otherwise choose easier destinations (e.g. CR, CTG, DR/PP-Sousa) but the more adventurous man on hobby has plenty with to keep busy.

My spanish is fine, so Medellin is my next new spot to visit (when I can finally get over my addiction to Cali and Rio, hahahaha).

I just got off the phone with Ana Maria Gallegos of the Torre Poblado.

The apartments on floors 2-5 HAVE airconditioning!!! The apartments on floors 6-10 do not. I was on the 10th floor.

She said the trade-off is the airconditioned apartments are smaller, but they still have a kitchen, livingroom and balconies.

I can now fully recommend the Torre Poblado. Yes, there is a fair amount of street noise, but I had all the balcony doors and windows opened - I would think with the windows closed and the AC on, you'd be in great shape.

Also, make sure to negotiate guests as they charged me 30,000 extra for each overnight guest. To be fair they didn't charge me for each girl that went upstairs - which the Dann Carlton does.

Also, there is free 24 hour access to high-speed internet in reception. And there's an internet cafe right around the corner if you need a little privacy.

For moi, I like nice quiet hotels with a/c, and the Poblado Plaza works for me. And each floor had a free internet pc., and its right next door to a mall.

I don't recall them charging me a guest fee?

That's great news WS and SFD, I was getting concerned about MDE lodging since the foot traffic I generate isn't always appreciated at the nicer hotels. Which is one reason why I don't like staying at the nicer places. But that 30K per overnight guest fee is still troubling, I'll have to negotiate that for sure.

If I were to compare Brazil to Colombia, I would say you get a GFE experience from a Colombian and the girls overall are better looking than Brazil.

But I think the sex is better in Brazil. The girls warm up quicker in Brazil and they are more likely to do things that I don't see happen in Colombia. Of course this is from experience with Colombians in Panama, not actually Colombia.

Sniper, the Colombians in Panama and Costa Rica were generally a bit more jaded than their sisters in-country from my experience. You'll meet a lot of really, really sweet girls in Colombia, more so in the less travelled cities like Cali, but still many to be found in CTG. I did think the garotas were generally better at sex, but many of them (or the ones I came across in the Termas) were also more experienced. The Colombianas I meet are, as you described, more cautious at first but after they get comfortable with you, the sex was as good or exceeded some experiences in RIO.

I just spoke again with AnaMaria of Torre Poblado about the overnight guest fee. She wouldn't budge. She said they don't charge for "visitors" during the day, but if someone sleeps overnight, they will charge 30,000P.

So if it's capped at 30,000P per night, I still think it's a good deal - and a very appropriate place if you're bringing back a lot of different girls. No dirty looks, and no walk of shame through a lobby full of guests.

I've got to try Colombia. The girls are stunning.

Merlin: I've heard that Colombians in Costa Rica and Panama are not as nice. But I'll tell you, they were still very good. Terma girls in Rio are very experienced and what I really like about them is that they seem to take pride in their work. They want you to have a good time. They try to provide a GFE but its not real.

From what I read, Colombians want to provide you a GFE because of the outside chance you might want to take them on as a girlfriend. Even the girls in Panama and Costa Rica will warm up and give you a good experience. But it takes time to get there. On a weeks vacation, I don't necessarily have the time to devote to getting that. I also don't like the drama that can come with it.

Also I'm an ass-man, I have been unable to get a girl from Colombia to do anal. Probably just don't have enough time to devote to making it happen I guess. I prefer to just say "completa?" and wait for their response.

That being said, the girls in Colombia are unbeleivably beautiful and I plan to go there.

Have you stayed at the Suites Real 85 in Bogota? If you have, how does the Torres Poblado compare with it?

Part 2 of the Trip Report

Carolina wasn’t in a hurry to get out of bed. She put the TV on around 11am and I went into the bathroom to clean up. She followed me in the bathroom and we had another session in the shower – she was definitely warming up to me.

I suggested we grab something to eat and she was fine with that. Upon leaving the suite, I saw that the “breakfast room” across the hall was still open. I guess they serve breakfast right up until noon. We ordered some food and enjoyed the view.

The place never gets crowded even during the height of breakfast and we had the place all to ourselves at that late hour.

Carolina said she wasn’t available that evening (Friday) but would like to hook up on Saturday. So we agreed she’d meet me at the apartment at 3pm. I figured we’d make a day/evening of it.

We went back to the apartment and she gathered her things. I put the money in her hands and she put it away without counting it. 450,000 is a lot of money, but I definitely got my money’s worth and was looking to amortize my investment with another date on Saturday. And as a final note, I noticed that a couple of days after I left Medellin that Carolina’s picture was no longer on the www.lesamisnet.com site. And then a couple of days after that, the whole site disappeared – and still hasn’t come back up).

In the interim, I’ve spoken with Carolina a couple of times and she’s looking forward to seeing me in a few weeks – so it looks like my 450,000 was well spent.

I got a call on my cell and the connection was bad, but it was someone who wanted to come over at 2pm, so I said yes. At 2pm the receptionist calls and says Ledey is downstairs.

Ledey has a more outgoing personality than Carolina and she was happy to do the talking while I just sat back. We started fooling around on the couch and then made our way into the bedroom – the service was exponentially better this time around. Sometimes you just have to get to know a person.

Then we just spent the afternoon/early evening lounging around – a perfect day by me. Around 7pm I suggested we go out to eat and Ledey happily followed me out. We went to La Doctora near the Oviedo Mall. The place was pretty crowded as it was Friday night and we had another good meal.

It was too early to hit a club, so we took a taxi to the El Tesoro Mall, up the mountain. I love the partial open-air architecture of this very upscale mall, but the real prize is the people-watching. Beauty after beauty, especially on a Friday night.

Ledey wasn’t doing much talking, just taking everything in. I got the feeling that she didn’t usually spend Friday night walking around El Tesoro. To her credit she didn’t ask me for anything, even when I said let’s get out of here. And because of that, I told her if she wanted some clothes or whatever, I’d be happy to get it for her.

She went right to the Chevignon store and picked out a jeans/jacket ensemble. She was thrilled and I did my good deed for the day.

We took a taxi back to the Torre Poblado and after fooling around a little, I suggested we check out some of the bars and cafes surrounding the Torre Poblado. At 10:00pm the streets were filled with couples all bouncing from one bar to the next. It was a very lively, festive scene.

We sat in one open-air bar, ordered drinks and just watched the crowds. The weather was perfect, the music loud, the company very agreeable and the drinks were cold. I couldn’t have been happier.

We checked out another couple of places and then called it a night just after midnight.

Another great session and then it was lights out, at least for me. Ledey wanted to watch TV and I wasn’t going to get in her way.

We woke up Saturday morning around 10am and went across the hall for breakfast. Then we went back into the apartment and fooled around a little until about 2pm and I told her I was going to meet someone else. There was no problem getting her to leave – we never discussed a price – she had been with me for 24 hours so I gave her 200,000P which she didn’t bother counting.

I walked her downstairs to put her in a taxi and that was that. I walked around the corner and hit an internet café, finally checking in with the outside world. It was getting close to 3pm, so I went upstairs to wait for Carolina.

Right on schedule, reception announced her and she glided into the room. She was a lot more relaxed and I could tell the afternoon was going to be good.

I asked her if I could take some pictures and she didn’t hesitate to start posing. She really likes the camera. We started moving around and then I suggested she start removing some clothes which she did without hesitation.

The lighting was so-so, it would have been better earlier with more natural lighting, but I was still quite satisfied with the results.

I then uploaded the pictures to my laptop and we went through them, deleting the bad ones. She asked if she could have them on a CD and I agreed, but then realized I hadn’t packed any blank CDs.

The plan was to go to Mango’s later that night, but I hadn’t had lunch so I suggested we grab a small bite at La Doctora and then buy some blank CDs at the Oviedo Mall.

So we hopped into a cab and grabbed a snack at La Doctora, then went to one of the Photo stores in the mall and bought some blank CDs.

We headed back to the TP and went upstairs. I burned the CD and then went into the bedroom to take a little nap. Carolina laid down next to me and started getting me going – I figured I could always sleep on the plane. After a monster session, she went into the bathroom to freshen up. While she was in the shower, her cell phone rang for the first time since we had been together. These girls are not as tied to their cellphones as their Thai counterparts.

When she came out of the bathroom she heard the phone beeping and checked the message. I could see right away that her mood changed. The best I could understand, her mother was sick and either in the hospital or going to the hospital. The scourge of Colombian women – sickly mothers. A real cock-blocker.

She just sat there crying quietly, not saying anything. So what am I supposed to do? I bent her over a chair and . . . no that’s not what I did. I told her I could see she was upset and I understood if she needed to leave and be with her mother. She jumped off the bed and started towards the door. I told her I’d get her a taxi and we rode the elevator down.

She kept apologizing as we went to the corner. I flagged a taxi and opened the door. I closed the door and went over to the driver and gave him 10,000P. Now mind you I hadn’t given Carolina any money and she didn’t asked me for any. So she’s either a really good actress or she was as upset and she appeared to be.

I wasn’t going to stiff her, so I pulled 150,000 out of my pocket and gave it to her. We did have two great sessions as well as a great photo shoot. And that was that.

I headed upstairs and figured I would call Leday. But everytime I called it went right to voicemail. Always have a Plan B!!!

After 30 minutes, I thought about just calling it a night as I had to check-out at 6:15am to get to the airport on time. But I didn’t want to end the trip like that. So I called Juan and he said he’d pick me up in 20 minutes.

I went downstairs and Juan was just pulling in. I jumped in and he asked me where we were going. It was too early to hit a club, so I suggested he hit Calle 53 and see what the Street Girl scene looked like on a Saturday night.

Twenty minutes later we were turning onto Calle 53, It was a surreal scene. Girls and gangsters everywhere. It was like the Wild West. Juan pulled over near the corner and we just watched the girls walking by. I’d see one and call her over, but none of them wanted to come back to the hotel.

Then I saw this one girl. Maybe the most stunning girl I’ve ever seen working the streets. A 10 in my book. Blond with porcelain white skin - a dead ringer for the actress Kate Bosworth. I called her over, but she wouldn’t get in. Juan kept telling her I was a good guy, but no dice. She said she’d gladly go with me to the short-time hotel, but I wouldn’t do it. Plus I was very well-dressed and wearing jewelry – fine when you’re in a locked car, but a walking target if you venture outside. I wouldn’t have lasted 2 minutes on that street.

I offered her 200,000P – and she still wouldn’t get in. And the going rate is about 20,000P.

We drove around the block, then went to another corner. Immediately 4 girls came up to the car willing to come back to the hotel. One was very cute, and she said she wanted 200,000!!! Word had gotten out fast! I laughed and told her I’d pay her 50,000 and that was for as long as I wanted. She agreed without even making a counteroffer.

Her name was Andrea and she jumped into the backseat with Juan and I remaining in the front. She asked Juan to turn on the radio and she started making small talk. She was very friendly and didn’t show any fear about being driven away with two strangers.

This girl wasn’t shy, she asked me if I had any pericho and I said I had some back at the apartment and she was welcome to it.

We pulled into the TP and it was so nice not having to register her at the front desk. It was so obviously I just pulled this girl from Centro and it would not have played out well at the Dann Carlton or Poblado Plaza.

We went upstairs and she was very impressed with the digs. I set her up with some pericho and brought out a bottle of rum. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we had a lot of fun fooling around watched Shakira videos in the background. I almost wanted to head back to Centro with her to talk the blonde into coming back, but decided to just go with the flow.

We partied until midnight and then I told her I wanted to crash and I’d put her in a taxi home. I had bought a fair amount of groceries and liquor at the beginning of my stay and there was a fair amount left over. I told her she could take whatever she wanted as I was leaving in a few hours. She couldn’t believe her luck and started filling up a couple of shopping bags. I called downstairs and Juan said he’d take her back.

I would have loved to see the look on her co-workers’ faces when she returned to the corner later that night armed with cash, food and alcohol.

I guarantee if I went back the next night, the blonde would have jumped into the cab without hesitation. You just have to get their trust first. You can bet I’ll hit Calle 53 the first night of my next trip in search of that blond.

I made sure everything was packed and I hit the bed. Dawn came fast and I jumped into the shower at 6am and was downstairs by 6:15. Juan was waiting, along with his wife AnaMaria. They had gone to some clubs and figured they’d just stay up and drive me to the airport – great service.

Made it to the airport in plenty of time. I paid Juan for the previous night’s services as well as the ride to the airport.
Another trip in the books.


I’ve since spoken with Carolina and Leday and they’re both looking forward to seeing me in a few weeks. I know some people think what I paid Carolina was a lot of money (and it was), but when you factor in the potential for repeats, it becomes well worth it to me.

Sukhumvitter's Medellin Report came with a map listing the various streets with SWs. So I was going to check it out using his great map as a reference.

But on my first night in, my driver Juan asked me if I wanted to see some SWs on the way to Show San Diego and the first corner he pulled over to was Calle 53. But there are many corners and many, many girls. The girls on the left side of Calle 53 are younger than the girls on the right side (they just group that way). And be careful - some of the girls on the left side are very young. I'm bad at telling ages, but it was even obvious to me.

Juan knows all the places and is a good guy to have around. His English is decent and he's very low-key. He doesn't talk loud and won't talk your ear off - perfect for me.

Sniper, I was in Cali a few days ago for a brief trip and thought it wasn't as good as my last trips. Many of the hotties at the casas are gone, even at the famed Floras Frescas. However, I was only there for a couple of days. CTG and MDE are probably better places to go right now.

Would you say CTG or MDE is better for a first trip?

My plan is to move to Panama sometime in 2006 so I imagine I'll be Colombia quite often.

BTW, I think I've said it before, I'm an assman so if anyone knows how to get a Colombian to do anal, speak up.

Sniper, I haven't been to MDE yet, but I met lots of gals from MDE and several buddies on this site and others have been there. Everyone has good things to say about MDE. Also, some of the most beautiful women I meet in CTG/CALI are from MDE. I just wouldn't go to CALI first.

IMO, I'd say a good first trip to Colombia would be to CTG. It's safe (as I'm sure MDE is as well), nice beaches, easy pickins of the hotties, lots of great clubs/discos (w/ working gals and non-working gals) and plenty of beautiful and historic archictecture to see. But it's probably one of the most humid and hot places I've been to, and a lot of guys can't stand the beach touts and vendors on the beach.

I would agree with Merlin that CTG is best for a first trip. The key, IMHO to having a great time in CTG is to make sure you have a GREAT apartment with GREAT A/C and daily maid service. Great A/C is much harder to find in CTG than a great girl. The girls are a given; A/C is not.

My first trip to Colombia was to MDE - I had no contacts and terrible Spanish, yet I had an awesome time and found incredible girls. The people in MDE are very proud of their city and will go to great lengths to counter opinion that MDE is this narco-driven city with kidnappers lurking in every corner.

You can have a great time in both - but they are very different in ma ny respects. It's almost like two different countries.

Hunterman - I get them same error. That website hasn't been up since I got back. Luckily I got Carolina's contact info and have talked with her a couple times since coming back. No need for the middleman anymore!

Sniper - I don't think all the hot girls are in MDE; a lot of them travel to CTG and other parts. I see a lot more hot non-pros walking around in MDE than in CTG, but they are a lot more approachable in CTG.

I'll put it this way: I've ONLY done pros in MDE and on my last trip to CTG I ONLY did non-pros (picked up at the mall or disco)

As far as costs, it's about the same except for hotel/apartments where they really gouge you in CTG during high season and double the rates around Christmas. That doesn't happen in MDE.

Tim3rexes - If I was arriving at 6:30pm on Saturday, I'd probably head right over and look at the SGs on Calle 53 - then see if you can get one to come back to your hotel (unless you don't mind using the short-time hotels there - not my style).

Then depending on how that goes, I'd hit Show San Diego around 10:30pm, see if you like anything, if not - check out more SWs (Show San Diego is in the Centro area and there are also SWs working right outside the door - saw one or two that were doable) or move over to Face Dos or La Isla, two other strip clubs.

I also like to go to Mango's - a great club but only if you bring a date. Probably too sophisticated for a SG, but if you pulled someone out of San Diego, Face Dos or La Isla they'd love to go to Mango's - chances are they've never been.

I would also think about Sunday and try to make some dates at the strip clubs for Sunday - you'll avoid paying the salida (50k - 100k) and get a head start on Sunday as the action can be a little slow.

Concarne and Tim3rexes - as far as the overall look of the SGs - let me give you an example. Some guys can fuck anything that moves. Some guys can fuck a girl with a great body but ugly face. Other guys, vice-versa.

Me, I'm a simple guy. I can only fuck a girl that I find to be totally attractive - face and body - otherwise I might as well just jerk-off.

My point: I could spend an entire trip just going thorugh the SGs on Calle 53. There were that many of them that were attractive to me. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

In CTG, many of the gals you run into are from MDE, in fact, last trip, I think all but two were from MDE. As WS said, its easy to approach the gals in CTG and the only saving grace for CALI is that it's even easier to pickup non-pros there than in most places. In Cali, if you go to a Salsa/Disco club, you'll be sure to hookup; even if you sit at the mall, at the casino, or the lobby of your hotel, these beautiful girls will come up and start talking to you.

The prices on Calle 53 are cheap, like 15,000 - 20,000 for a short-time session. But that would be in one of the short-time hotels (for which you also have to pay, not sure of the cost, something I've never done.

The first girl I took back to my apartment from Calle 53 I paid 100,000 (having not negotiated beforehand), but that was for a 2-3 hours plus traveling time. I'm sure I could have paid less, but that's what it was worth to me.

The second girl I took (on my last night) I paid 50,000P - negotiated up front. That was for the same amount of time, so you can see how it varies.

I can only speak to higher prices during the holidays in CTG on lodging. They basically double the rates of the apartments in December. As far as I know, the girls don’t charge more – I was never there during December.

Sniper:

I didn’t find any drama with the non-pros in CTG – maybe just got lucky. I think there would be a lot more work and drama involved with MDE girls – hence I stick with the pros and have been very happy so far.
