Well it had been almost 2 months since my last mongering adventure so I was ready for another. Last time I checked out Rio, but I really missed my LOS girls.

I would be joined this time by Chuckdog from Northern California. It was his first mongering trip to Thailand, although he had been there once before on business. (Does that even count as a trip to Thailand?)

Thanks to Dave the Rave we finally hooked up at Angelwitch on Saturday night. He had flown in with Eva so he had arrived earlier in the day. I, unfortunately, have to fly United so I have that horrible arrival time of 11pm. Luckily we landed 45 minutes early, and with no baggage to claim, I was claiming my first barfine at Angelwitch by 11:30.

It's great to be back, although I was a little under the weather so I didn't have my usual energy.

I stayed at the Majestic Grande again, but I think it will be my last time. They played the usual Thai games with me. They're website implies that by paying a little extra for a bigger room will entitle you to free wireless internet. That is NOT the case. They also assured me by email that the room rate includes taxes which it did not. I know better than to complain to much. It rarely does any good, and I'd rather enjoy my trip. I will likely go back to the Marriot using Priceline, or I may start going budget and stay at Dynasty.

I rarely do this, but the next night I barfined the same girl. I was really feeling down and out, and couldn't be bothered with the routine of a new girl. Had a great time once again.

The next day Chuckdog and I shared a cab to Pattaya. He was staying at Dynasty, and I wanted to try the new hotel across from Sandy Springs called the Inn House. Both are on Soi 13. Noise not a factor btw. I only stayed one night at the Inn House. The rooms were adequate, but they claimed an ocean view which was obscured by the new hotel next door. I might have stayed anyway, but I didn't like the attitude of the front desk employees. I walked across the soi and got an ocean view room from Sandy Springs for the rest of the week, and was very happy there.



Of course Chuckdog and I headed to Walking St and soon found ourselves esconced in Living Dolls. I got a warm welcome from Fantasy Girl. Some of you may remember her from my last trip report when I met up with Epi. I was in the mood for something new so I barfined a different girl. No ploblem for Fantasy Girl. I took her the next night.

A few days later I took my first girl from soi 6 during the day. I sometimes have a problem finding hi quality there, but this time I hit the jackpot with Nok. She would not let me take pictures though. Funny how the go go girls never seem to mind. Maybe they are more used to being on display. I told Chuckdog about my exploits on Soi 6, and how cheap it it; 350 Baht for room, and 500 Baht for girl, so he decided to check it out too. Later, when comparing notes, we realized he had gone with the same girl; Nok.
2 mongers with the same great taste, but what are the odds?

In spite of my not feeling well, it was a great trip. Chuckdog was a great partner to have, and made the trip a lot more fun.

I will be back at the end of November, and I'm trying to decide where to stay. I think I may do a trip to Ko Samet this time as well.

BKK & Pattaya look very inviting. Do they speak Portuguese there? I'm up to about 30 words and the thought of starting all over with another language is terrifying

I know what you mean about the language. It was hard for me to start over and learn a little Portuguese for my last trip to Rio, but it was worth it. It's true that you can get by with no language skills though.

I found in BKK the girls were far more likely to speak english than the girls in Rio. Never been to Pattaya so can't comment, I will go there next trip to find out.

Does the Sandy Springs have in-room internet?

No way. There is a good I net cafe around the corner on Second RD. That's about it. As I have said -- in room broadband is about as rare as virgins in Pattaya.

True. No in room internet, but they have 3 computers with hi speed internet in the lobby. Kind of expensive, but I can't remember the prices.

I'm also a big fan of sandy springs, just was there last week.Internet rates are 60 bht fo each 30 minutes

Hotels in Thailand have very expensive Internet rates, like 100 baht for 15 min. I never had a problem in finding an internet cafe with 1 baht per min.
