Hello to all!

Let me first say that for those of you, who know me, know I am a pretty straight shooter and I don’t try to bullshit anyone. I just call it the way I see it. With that said I am about to give you my full honest opinion of The Mansion. Please keep in mind this is only my opinion, everyone has their own. The first time I stayed at The Mansion was back in May and I thought it was the coolest place and it is a cool place if you are a newbie. The Mansion had great hospitality and Greg and Robert went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and was pointed in the right direction. Life was good. My first stay there was for about 4.5 days. My next trip to The Mansion was about three weeks later in June, I had so much fun the first time I had to come right back and spend another 4.5 days there. Again Robert and Greg were very helpful with my needs. I was very excited about sharing information about The Mansion with everyone I could…friends from a few of the boards and my own friends who I knew would totally be into the scene. I always had very positive things to say when it came to The Mansion. I referred many people there.

My 3rd trip to Medellin was going to be for 5 weeks and was going to start in the month of September. I decided to stay at The Mansion for the duration. I spoke with Greg and asked him if he can work out some kind of deal for me, he asked me, what do you think is fair? I made an offer of $800 for the month, he agreed. This agreement was made over the phone not through email, which would bite me in the ass at the end of my stay. (More on this in a minute). Now let me tell you, when you spend that much time (5 weeks) around people you find out their true colors, as I would soon discover. I was seeing a girl by the name of Sasha…a lot of you know who she is. She was my girlfriend, my regular if you will. I was going to be celebrating my Birthday there and it was going to be a big party, which it was. I had a lot of my buddies there, like Cubanut and Joewheels and others. So the day of the party Greg comes up to me and says, “ I have some very important clients coming and I want to know if Sasha is available” Well my first thought was, Gee, am I not an important client? Why would he even ask me that? But I told him he should ask her, I really don’t care or mind if she wants to work. I really didn’t cause I was looking to being with other girls too. Sasha seemed to be ok with that if she could be included. Sasha comes and tell me that she is not going to be with other guys because its my Birthday and she only wanted to be with me, I said ok whatever. Now when Greg got wind that Sasha wasn’t going to be a working girl that night he seemed to be pissed at me for a decision she made. From this point I started seeing a side of Greg which I never seen before. Here would be a few words. Jealous, Egotistical, Asshole and Unprofessional. Let me give you an example. I was in room 8, which is right in front of the pool. Greg is out there one night till the early morning. He was drunk and speaking loudly. I open my window and told him I was trying to rest and he made a smart-ass comment to me. I spoke with him the next day and he didn’t think anything of it. Greg also wrote a “Rules” Post to all the Clients in the Mansion because of an altercation between a client and a working girl that woke up half the Mansion. The people that were there know what I am talking about. Now I can understand listing some do’s and don’ts but the way the rules were written was not only unprofessional but also somewhat funny. I thought they were written by a young 12yr. old boy who just threw a temper tantrum. (I wasn’t far off).
To make a long story short I will tell that at the end of my stay Greg comes to me and hands me my bill $2080 Dollars…(26 days). I was a little taken back to say the least. I spoke to Greg and asked him what about our agreement for the $800? I wasn’t even staying the whole 5 weeks (Because of Hurricane issues at home). But I was going to give him the $800 anyway out of good faith. Greg says to me “Do you have it in writing?” anyway after arguing with him he gives me a final price of $1445 I wasn’t in the mood for arguing anymore I said ok, no problem… I was thinking I am never staying here again. I left the next morning and I got home later in the afternoon. I wrote Greg a letter telling him how upset I was with his handling of the bill and the agreement we had. He wrote me back and said we would agree to disagree and he would give me a credit of $445 Dollars, which I could use on my next stay. I felt better about it and accepted the offer. (Of course I saved the email ? ). Keep in mind I can go into all kinds of other details of things I would call questionable behavior from Greg but I don’t feel like writing that much.

Now to bring you up to speed on my most recent trip to The Mansion (Nov 12-16). When I was at the mansion for the September Trip I met a really great girl…her name is “M”. I met her on final week there. She was a Semi-Pro. We became very close and the sex with her was unstoppable! So to make a longer story even shorter I will just tell you that after I left she has never been back to the Mansion. We spoke everyday on the phone and my trip there last week was to see her. She wasn’t happy I was going to be staying at the mansion and to be honest I wasn’t either but I had a credit there and I was going to use it. As soon as I get into the mansion Greg comes to me and say we have to have an in-depth conversation… I am thinking oh, god what now…the fucking Drama! He and Robert come to me and say how My girlfriend ”M” used to work at Energy and one of the partners has a thing for her and she is causing problems for them (The Mansion) because the Bosses from Lutron are saying this that and the other. Anyway…at the end of it all they are not 100% sure if it is “M”. At this point I am sorry I even checked into the Mansion. I tell Greg and Robert ok whatever. I basically let it go in one ear and out the other. My feeling is Greg is Jealous that “M” isn’t hanging around there anymore because of me…if that’s the case then so be it. I feel like I am living in this bad Colombian Soap Opera on channel 41. So I leave on Wednesday and find out that as soon as I leave Greg try’s to call “M” to come over and spend time with him for his Birthday. What a douche bag, of course “M” didn’t have anything to do with it and we both laughed.

To sum things up, I don’t enjoy staying there anymore because there is WAY too much Drama going on. I don’t feel like a client there anymore, more like a roommate. If I am paying for a service I should get it no matter how many times I have been there. Again I think the Mansion is a great place if you are a newbie and need a stepping-stone, but don’t think this is the only option because its not. There are many great places to stay for your first time there. After being there 4 times this year I have decided to get a furnished apartment with a friend of mine. I just want to say that this is only my opinion and my experience’s. Yours may vary. I hope every one gets to experience what Medellin has to offer...its a fun place and the women are so fucking pretty. Good luck and enjoy!

That's too bad. I think the morale of the story is 1) don't trust ANYBODY too much and 2) always get things in writing.

My friends stayed at the Mansion in late August/ early September '05. It was fine back then but their trip was much shorter than yours, and they never tried to develop that relationship with Robert and Greg (so never risked getting let down to the extent you did).

I would agree with your last sentiments, as well. Unless you're a newbie and/or really need to interact with the American guys at Colombia Sweethearts or the Medellin Mansion, there is really no reason to stay in either place. You can utilize their introduction service for a fee and stay elsewhere. The list of other residences for Medellin can be found on this board.

Finally, were you really that impressed with Medellin for mongering? I suspect vastly better options for purely mongering would be found in Rio, Sao Paolo, or Buenos Aires. The main reason I might go back to Medellin would be for the potential non-pro options.

In any case, there is still little reason to stay in the Mansion or at Sweethearts when there are vastly better options out there.

BTW, were you at all worried about crime in Medellin- especially taking taxis at night?

Are there really any benefits to be gained from staying at the Mansion versus getting a less expensive apartment? Security? Availability of girls?

Djanselmo thank you very much for this post. My buddies and I have been talking about visiting the Mansion. That's over with now. That's an interesting business model this Greg has, fuck over your repeat clients.

DJ: I have stayed at the Mansion three times since the end of July, and I too have noticed a change (which I will explain). But let me try to play devils advocate for a moment, since I know Greg and Robert from many happy moments there.

1) It is likely that Greg forgot about the oral arrangement you worked out (he has had a ton of shit to do getting this place running), and since you did not discuss it again till checkout he probably just charged you the normal rate. As you noted, you probably should have gotten it in writing. Perhaps when you checked in you could have reminded him and reconfirmed the price. Just seems prudent to me. However he did knock it down significantly, and then agreed on a credit to make it up to you. Seems like he tried to meet you more than half way.

2) Since Greg had a number of guys coming over for the party that afternoon, I am sure he was just wanting to make sure there were enough working girls there to go around. If you had said "No, Sasha is not available today" I am sure he would have moved on and made a few more phones calls. They have no shortage of babes that will come over and hang with a bunch of gringos with money.

3) I too was surprised at the rules list and it did appear Greg wrote it in haste. I suppose the Mansion's free and open attitude was too good to be true. It was bound to happen...some wacked out chica was going to go nuts and ruin it for everybody. When I was there the second time, somebody stole Greg's wallet. Never did find it, as far as I know. I have had chicas steal things from my room...and I know they sometimes do stupid shit. Keep in mind guys bring back street girls that have never seen a place as nice as the mansion and they just don't know how to act. I can easily see why they had to write some rules to get a handle on it.

3) The Rules. On my second trip there, I brought back three street girls with two of my buddies that I met staying at the mansion. It was a sunday afternoon. We were all in the pool when one of the stupid street girls grabbed Greg's puppy, the Rottweiler, and jumped into the pool holding the puppy. It was a stupid thing to do, and the puppy had never learned to swim. We got him out and he was fine after swallowing some pool water, and Greg was cool with it, but stuff like that has to drive him crazy. After all, he lives there and we brings these girls back into his home. I can see how these things add up and make those rules more than necessary.

The Mansion is like the coolest Bed and Breakfast on earth. Imagine a B and B that not only allows you to bring an endless stream of hookers back to your room, but will be more than happy to call some up and get them to come over, if you happen to run dry. One such Chica, Anna Maria ended up spending 26 straight hours with me, and it was an incredible time. I simply must return to see her, (and a few others).

I am going back in a few weeks, and I plan to stay at the Mansion again. It really has become my home away from home. I am sorry to see the free spirit attitude changing, but it had to happen. There has been a bit of drama there, but I think that is what those new rules are trying to correct. I would give them another chance, if I were you. I have always found them incredibly hospitable, friendly, and helpful. I think it would be unfair to tarnish an otherwise positive image without giving them a chance to hear their side, although I am really sorry DJ has had some bad times there.

I have said in my earlier posts that the Medellin Mansion is NOT for everyone but for various reasons. One needs to make an educated decision.
I enjoy the Mansion without any problem. But that's me. I like doing things the "Cubanut Way".

DJ, not that you may care at all about this, but the night of the Grand opening when I was in the pool I went over behind Sasha (who was in the pool as well) to take an underwater picture of her ass. Sasha was looking over at you outside the pool hugging and kissing on the tall stripper (from La Isla?). Sasha was crying. When I asked her if something was wrong she played it off. And so I took a couple of shots and swam away.
Sasha may me a whore and all but she still is a human being with feelings. I think you broke that girls heart that night. I really think she wanted to be your "Birthday Girl". Who did you end up with that night?

I now have serious doubts about visiting the mansion, as I would be very dependent on their services....as I have NO spanish skills! I was seriously considering a visit in the near future!

Sorry about your disappointments. However, there must be dozens of warnings in these reports that if you fall for a garota then there is no choice but that it will give you disappointment and financial grief. You just got yours in a different manner!

Its like this...If you want to be really social and be spoon fed Medellin, then stay at the Mansion…the prices are fair and competitive. No matter where you stay security seems to be pretty good there.

First of all, very nice to hear from you! Love your reports. 1). Yes I agree and that was not responsible of me not to get it re-confirmed. 2). Sasha said she wasn’t available to Greg…not me. Greg is a jealous person and likes to hold resentment when he doesn’t get his way. This is a behavior I started noticing on my 3rd trip there and on my most recent trip there. 3) I agree 100%.

My intentions are not to tarnish any kind of image of the mansion…they did that themselves…Positive and Negative images are in the eye of the beholder. I am simply expressing my heart felt honest opinion of how things changed there for me. Yes I have had some bad times there…but I would be lying if I said I haven’t had some great times there too.

Your experience there (The Mansion) is yours and yours to judge. I just feel its time to graduate to something a little more rewarding than the Mansion. I am in a position to get a house have a pool and do things on my own terms, which in my opinion is better than any B&B. When that develops you will be one of the first people I invite to join me for an inauguration party.

Well without getting into a long drawn out story of things between her and me, lets just say she did some things that hurt me earlier in the day that made me second guess her intentions and said a lot about her character. I ended up being with her that night and smoothing some things out. She is still my friend, but I have found someone who is amazing and beautiful. She lets me do whatever I want to her sexually and digs it.

You are right about not being dependent on one source...however, if it’s your first time there and you have no Spanish skills I always have recommended the Mansion. Keep in mind my relationship with them is different now. Your experience there will probably be a good one. Stay there and be your own judge, you may really dig it. After going there many times, I am ready for something different and looking for a fresh view. Don’t let my personal views deter you from going to Medellin. You will love it.

DJ; Your trip report sounds like nothing more than an attempt at character assassination. Room #8 goes for $70 a night. Did you really think that you could stay in that room for $30 a night? I don’t know what you were charged on your previous trips but I’m sure it was more than that.

Greg and Robert have many girls in their book that they can call up for new guest’s. If you bring a new girl back to the Mansion, Greg will ask you if it’s ok to put her in the book. I know this for a fact. He does this for two reasons (1) he is looking for a way to keep the his guests happy, and (2) he may want to fuck her himself. I see nothing wrong with this. Remember there is no such thing as a semi-pro. She either is a prostitute or she is a good girl.

I remember you from when I stayed at the Mansion. I would be inclined to believe Greg and Robert before I would take what you say as the truth. I’m sure that there is another side to this story that you are not telling us.

I agree with you that things have changed at the Mansion from my first trip to my third, but I accept the fact that I am staying in Greg's House. Yes, I am paying, but it is still his house and I try to abide by his rules. I also figure anything that I bring back there to screw is potentially gonna end up in somebody elses bed. The cool thing about the Mansion is that all these hot fuckable babes are showing up, and it is completely the norm to ask to screw one of them. Unless the monger thinks this is his novia and says "hands off" I don't have a problem with that. I was not there for your situation with Sasha, so I will take your word for it.

The "House Rules" were an inevitable evolution of the Mansion. They have to keep a somewhat low profile so as not to upset the local gentry.....the ones with dark suits and gold chains!!

As mentioned, the Mansion is where Greg lives. It is his home and he can make whatever rules he deems necessary to keep his operation running smoothly for all. No one forces you to stay there and as DJ mentioned, there are many places to consider as alternatives. I have even seen Greg and Robert help guys find places when they were not happy staying there.

AS CN pointed out, the Mansion and Medellin are not for everybody. Do not come here expecting to find gorgeous Colombian girls running around naked 24X7 and a party/orgy happening everyday.

Sure, they will have some of their regulars over from time to time and if you like them, many times they are available. You can bring back your conquests from the strip bars, off hours sessions with casa girls or street girls (but be very careful with the SG's) and nobody will look at you twice or say a word.

As DJ has admitted, he should have confirmed his pricing understanding before or upon arrival. He is not knocking the place, just sharing a less than positive experience with the board. That is what this site is all about: Sharing information...good, bad or indifferent.

Some guys love staying at the Mansion, some guys don't. Some guys like Marriots, some like Holiday Inns or B&B's; some like fat girls, some like em skinny, some like spicy food, some don't, some can handle multitasking while others are single threaded.

The only constant is....we all like to fuck!

Roadglide....first of all this is not a "Trip Report" or a Character assassination and as far as me not telling you something or that i am hidding something, is ridiculious. Further more i have spent about 10 times the amount of time there than you did, if i remember corrcectly you spent maybe 5-6 days there and had to leave early...i really could care less who you would believe more or less. But i will tell you while you were there i tried to show you around as much as i could and even bought you lunch, i was very cordial to you. To be honest with you , you had to be one of the most up-tight guys i ever met. If you read my report CLOSELY. I still see a need for the mansion, for people like yourself. But do me a favor and spend about 7-8 weeks at the mansion then you can give me your "honest" opinion on it....low and behold it might be diffrent than what you think of it now.

You should have been. Paisas are very careful with taxis at night especially in centro.

I have taken cabs from El Centro many times at night and never had a problem. But I agree that the chicas are worried, and warned me a number of times to be careful.....since some of the cab drivers have been known to rob gringos. In fact I stayed for dinner at a chicas house one night...and after dinner I asked her to call me a cab. She told me that would be unsafe at night, and I had to spend the night there. I told her I was not prepared to do that, but she insisted. Then the military police showed up and also told me I had to stay there, and left a guard outside to make sure I was OK. At that pount I figured...what the hell. I stayed there all night with the guard outisde.

well theres an old saying houseguests are like fish..they begin to stink after a few days..NOW i haven't been to the mansion BUTT i will be going this winter(for all the obvious reasons)..I would assume that anyone staying in anyones house for 5-7 weeks would begin to find faults with them..stop to think how many of yours they found..(I am not being personal here,godbless anyone i don't know having me as a houselguest for that long)..lol BUT i do think your man enough in your latter post to reaffirm to all its postives..a lesson to all here.anyone staying that length of time should probably seek a private apt. just for sanities sake..Now i travel extensively and personally would never stay in a B&B for that length of time..especially theres..~~S~~..(again for all the obvious reasons)..I was in the event planning business for many yrs and i worked closely with hotel personnel..ITS A REAL BURN OUT BUSINESS..I don';t know greg but i can bet he's probably burning the candle at both ends...so he's going to be *quirky* at times..
anyways enough blabbing.Djanselmo..I believe you are of good character..you redeemed yourself in my eyes by the end of this thread..*lifts a toast* to all those damn beautiful latinas..BTW my event business was in puerto rico..14 pure yrs of bliss surrounded by lovely woman

I debated on rather or not to post a comment here but what the heck... I visited the mansion back in jan and although its a nice looking place I found the owner to be a real Pr... and the fact they deal in American Dollars GIVE ME A BREAK ITS COLOMBIA FOR GODS SAKE! That alone should make you run from this place! I lived in Colombia CTG CALI AND MDE I can tell you even your first time there you dont need some Dollar Minded Pimp House to get hot girls and be safe.. just my own thoughts .. or maybe you do need to pay some one to hold your hand ?

I am planning to do MDE for the first time,, (been to Cali 8 times in ten months) and have no need to include the mansion or any of its girls in any of my plans, dont need to, just use the info in these forums.. Did Cali with a buddy of mine and now have SO MANY NON-PRO NOVIAS, that I dont need any kind of Mansion of similar to get chicas and i feel kind of astonished for the people who do,, sorry for sounding vain..
