Another report from Buenos Aires. Probably my best time there yet. Excellent girls mostly and a couple of stripper fantasies realized. - In EZE airport, don't use the currency exchange booths near the luggage carousels, the rate is terrible. Wait until you exit the luggage area then look for a Banco de la Nacion Argentina on the right (large blue and white sign). You should get very close to the market exchange rate here, as good as any place in BA. A good place to load up on pesos for the first couple of days.
- In EZE at the snack/soda booths you can buy pre-paid phone cards in denomination of 10p or 50p. The rates on these cards are excellent and can provide significant savings over hotel phone charges.
- The bus line Manual Tienda Leon is a safe and cheap option to get from EZE to the city. 1-way ticket is 26p, round trip 47p.
- There are places all over the city where you can go in and use the internet or make phone calls. The terms to use are 'una maquina' for computer/internet, and 'una cabina' for a phone booth. If you ask for 'Internet' they know you are a tourist. Be sure you can count to 20 in spanish.

Well on to the reviews.

Day 1

Started with an afternoon visit to my favorite BA massage place, Brisa Spa. You don't need to call for an appointment, you can just walk to the building and press the buzzer. This one is more promising, good loud dance music with the place about 1/3 full. We have a couple of drinks, beer for me and hard liquor for her. Despite the music nobody is dancing, it seems more like a lounge. So we lounge here for half an hour. Then head out and grab a taxi. We head to one of the large BA dance clubs but it's closed; however there are people handing out flyers for another big club. We ask the taxi to take us to this club, which is called the 'Big One'. When we get to Big One I am relieved. It is exactly what I was hoping to see. The place is huge and crowded. Loud blaring techno music. Mostly a younger crowd. We have a drink at the bar and hang out for awhile. BTW, all the time we are occasionally touchy feely but otherwise its more a 'friend' type of date. Thanks Radioman. The Argentina peso used to be at 2.85:1 a couple of years ago. It is now even better at 3.07:1. For practical purpose we can take 3:1.

The 300p girl is about $100 USD... correct. But there are a few more costs.
30p - average club entry. Varies. Usually includes 1-2 drinks.
60p - average club exit with a girl (girl's drink). Varies.
10p - taxi from club
20p - taxi for girl to return to club. This is standard and almost always asked. Not required per se but should give at least 10p if service was acceptable. 20p+ if service was good to include a small tip. Subjective. I've given nothing and I've given up to 40p.

So about $140 minimum for an evening at one of the top clubs in BA and a girl back to the hotel for an hour. Still a great deal to me - considering the quality of girls available. You can pare it down to $100 for the evening at some other clubs like Cattos, Hook, Ness, Hot Point, Jaz, etc. It is still possible to find top talent at these clubs but in general the selection is poorer. I spend most of my time at the best clubs. I enjoy the 'dilemna' of having to choose from a club full of girls ranging from attractive to complete hottie. The small premium for these clubs is worth it to me.
