I'd worked myself into the habit of spending January, March, May and September in Thailand over the last couple of years.

I'd wanted to make a change last year and had thought about Brazil. I had planed a short trip to Lima at Thanksgiving of 2006. I picked Lima for two reasons. There was a short notice frequent flyer ticket for thirty five thousand miles and I'd read the RT Gooch trip reports. As with all the best-laid plans this one failed and my trip got canceled due to illness in the family.

I'd made my January and March trips to Thailand, but my May trip got cancelled for illness in the family.

Now we come to July 2nd and I was on the phone with American Airlines asking questions about frequent flyer miles and Cathay Pacific, when the lady said to me that I had a ticket in limbo to Lima. She said, I could leave on the 4th of July in first class and come home on the 11th of July in first class for my old ticket and thirty thousand miles. Considering there had been no mongering trip since March, I was sold.

What then follows is my story of the first timer trip to Lima, complete with triumphs and mistakes.
Before I say more, I once again want to give my thanks to RT as his trip reports convinced me to go and he was more than generous in his response to my PM's.

I left Chicago at seven in the evening and the flight to Miami was filled with would you like another drink Mr. Gurock, as first class is. There was a change of planes in Miami and a good meal on LAN with a few more free drinks, a few hours sleep and I'd landed in Lima.

Customs was a breeze; I bought $500.00 worth of Sole at the airport and was out the door.

My first small mistake I went with a cab driver that said 30 Sole to my hotel. He spent twenty extra minutes driving around Mira Flores unable to find the hotel and when he found it, I gave him the thirty Soles. This led to an explosion from the cab driver saying he wanted thirty dollars not sole. I held my ground and said no. He kept up his tantrum and I finally gave him ten dollars to shut up and go away. Retrospect, the cab booth would have been better.

I stayed at the Hotel Del Pilar, booked through Go2Peru. It turned out to be a good choice. The room was OK, had hard-wired hi-speed Internet and never charged joiner fees. I later discovered that it was a block and a half to Pizza Alley and two and a half to Tequila Rock.

I slept until mid afternoon, showered, shaved, and started to walk around to learn my way. I did find the Claro store and got my Peru Sim card. I ended up playing Black Jack at Hacienda. Not bad free drinks and three-dollar cards. I lost a few dollars over a number of hours and made my way back to Pizza Alley to look for the girls. The choices were unacceptable even when half drunk. I ate some Pizza, watched for girls and made my way over to Tequila Rock.

I paid my twenty sole cover charge, got my free drink and found my first girl. I was a Peru novice and it showed on me. She found me more than I found her. I was horny, wet behind the ears, a little drunk and easily taken. After some more drinks the bargaining went fast. She wanted a hundred dollars for two hours and I wanted a hundred dollars for the night. We settled on a hundred for the night with the provision that I would give a good tip if I were happy.

Claudia a/k/a Ilsa (she told me later Claudia was her bar name and Ilsa was her real name) was good in bed, but all covered BJ girl and truly a little to hardened it turned out. She was good to her word with two sessions that night and a morning BJ for the wake up. My mistake compounded when I agreed to lunch and shopping. Now the hundred got to be seventy-five more with clothes added on and after the cab trip to an outlying shopping center.

Here I was going into my second of six nights in Peru and in danger of having only one woman. I told Ilsa anything to get her to go. I told her I wanted to work. I told her I was going to the casino. I told her I'd call her. Finally she left.

I went to the casino at the Marriott for some drinks and a little Black Jack. I won a little money and ended up back to check out Pizza Alley for a little food and a stroll of the available sights. I ended up with a short time Pizza Alley girl who I took no pics of as she enticed me with the prospect of a BBBJ and not her looks. She agreed after bargaining to One Hundred Sole. This tells you something by itself.

After an hour of satisfaction but little pride, I sent my Pizza Alley girl on her way with two deposits, cash and leche.

One of my other mistakes came up here. I discovered that I left my MB Bank card in the ATM machine at the Marriott casino. The Marriott only lets you play in dollars and I only had soles, so ATM seemed like a good idea. I had to call the bank and stop the card. Now my bright idea was to avoid exchange fees and lines with the ATM. It was a good idea, but getting preoccupied and leaving the card in the machine was less than my best idea.

On any trip I bring sufficient cash, a couple of credit cards and my ATM. Maybe just call me paranoid. On this trip I was extra paranoid and brought a second ATM to a business account. If, however I used that ATM I would have to explain why to my Bush Republican business partner. Making a long story short I was a little freaked about the ATM and more concerned about money.

Nonetheless a short nap and I was ready for Tequila Rock. Somewhere in this I forgot to mention that Ilsa started calling at eight or so every hour and I wasn't picking up the phone. So about midnight I pay my twenty soles and went into Tequila Rock looking for my next prospect.

Now, I have to describe Tequila Rock. There is a small bar just inside the door. A long brass rail with a dance floor past the rail and another bigger bar at the far right and left ends of the place. It is a fair sized place, maybe two thousand square feet. There are lots of tables where there isn't bar or dance floor. On an average night there is between fifty and a hundred girls ranging from ugly to hot vying for your attention. In other words a small slice of monger heaven.

So as the story goes on RT probably would not have been proud of me at all. I had a drink and played smart hanging at the far right hand corner bar figuring I met Ilsa at the other side and that was where her girl friends and her liked to hang. I was being picky and rebuffed several good advances looking for the girl of my dreams. I didn't see Ilsa and started getting bold searching for women more through the bar. Then it happened, an arm grabbed me and it was Ilsa.

Ilsa started with why I didn't answer her calls and the brave monger that I am, I said the cell phone wasn't working right. She moved right into lets go to your hotel. I was really looking for new fish to fry and didn't want more shopping trips, so I was trying to avoid another night with Ilsa. My answer to all of this was the ATM machine at the Marriott got my card and I have little money. Ilsa being the smart girl that she was told me that money didn't matter and that she just wanted to be with me. She told me that I could pay what I could afford.

So, fool that I was I went along with Ilsa. She did provide well for me that night and into the morning, but there I was. I was stuck with this hot greedy Peruveana in my bed that wouldn't leave. She was ordering room service and going on about today's shopping trip. At every turn I was saying no shopping, I need to work on the computer and she was saying I need shopping. By four in the afternoon I gave her a hundred US and told her shop, save do what you want, just not here. She finally left and I resolved to test out more of the womanhood of Peru. When reading the sad state of this part of the story keep in mind my limited skills in Spanish and Ilsa's good skills in English. Also I promise the trip could improve.

By the time she was gone twenty minutes I'd made a date with an escort girl for seven thirty. RT, I hope this redeemed me a little. My little escort girl showed up promptly and I learned the charm of the Peruvean escort pages. My little, I can't remember her name, escort had arranged two hundred soles for two hours, which seemed fair for room service. Quick as a flash we were in bed being passionate. After a first session of DFK, CBJ and two positions and a good draining of leche, we laid back to talk and I brought up pictures, which brought major protests. I think either out of genuine goodness or avoidance of pics my girl dove right back into the next BJ, which leant to a strong doggie finish twenty minutes later. As soon as my breath was back, I started asking again for pics, which brought the same protests of I not want, I know you put on Internet. While I was promising no Internet the sex machine went back to work.

Now, I could see the glory of the escort system I was beginning to see the light of Peru. After all Sixty Five Dollars US for all the sex I could do was looking OK. I went to sleep determined that tomorrow the Ilsa curse would be gone and I could make the best of Peruvian womanhood.

After a good sleep, I went into Sunday determined to make the best. I had breakfast, took a nap and combed the escort pages. I made a late afternoon date with Antoinette. Before Antoinette showed up I ordered glasses from a Peruvian optical shop. It was a good deal; I got an eye exam, and transition type progressive lenses glasses for less than two hundred. Anyway onward to Antoinette.

This girl made her message clear with a big deep French kiss right after walking in. Language barrier meant nothing. Two hundred soles and I was in little Gurock heaven. Discussions progressed and one drink led to two and three. I didn't mind, as I seriously wanted Andrea. Not only was the girl hot, but she was also nice and genuine.

Andrea spent a year living with an old Peruvian guy. I think he ran a company she had worked at. She says he ended up paying her to be his mistress at the ready. Near the end of a year she left him. She said that she was tired of being a slave for pay.

Andrea ended up at a strip club and said that she didn't like it there because it catered to Peruvian men who didn't treat her all that well. At a point she ended up freelancing at Tequila Rock. Andrea explained to me that December, January and February are the big tourist months in Lima and the big months at Tequila Rock. She told me that she could work hard and make 25,000 American in these three months. She says that she could bank that dough and live the year out well. Andrea hangs out at Tequila Rock whenever she feels like it the rest of the year, but with little pressure to make the dough.

Anyway there we were late at night and pretty loaded. Not having mentioned it I told her some of my life story, however I edited to leave out mongering. I did however tell her that I was a world traveler and she liked that. I could tell her about Asia, but not, how many of my Asian destinations were for mongering, Europe and Central America. She was really thinking that I wasn't the routine monger. Sometimes, I wonder why I do that. Here I worked hard to get this girl to think that I wandered into Tequila Rock and wasn't a monger by nature. So I asked her to the hotel and she agreed. Money was never mentioned. We had a drink from the mini bar and talked some more. In the middle of the night we had some of the best sex I've ever had in my life. Considering I've mongered on four continents and more trips than I care to count some of the best sex of my life was saying a lot.

After we had finished we fell sound asleep and at seven thirty in the morning Andrea’s cell phone went off and I could hear the aunt screaming at her in Spanish about where was she. Andrea turned white and started throwing clothes on, saying she had to go. I understood, got up, exchanged cell phone numbers and asked her out for the next night. I took some quick pics of her after she dressed. I liked her too much at that point to ask for nudes and I didn't want to blow my image. The last thing was Andrea telling me to call her and me taking out three hundred sole, sticking it in her pocket and telling her that I wanted her to have cab fare. Now here I was in Peru, a country I had come to appreciate as a mongering capitol and I'd fallen in total lust. So, I did the only self-respecting thing. I went to the breakfast buffet in the hotel and slept off the food and booze. When I got up on Monday in the early afternoon I was determined to make Andrea mine for the duration. I called her cell phone and she hurriedly told me she couldn't talk, go out or see me, too much trouble at home, and to call tomorrow.

There I had it no Andrea for Monday. Somewhere in this tale I left out one more of my setbacks. My laptop got a virus and became worthless for the duration. Anyway there I was in Peru, without the laptop and with a great list of locations that I'd written down from RT and others on the board. Creature of foolishness that I am I took the easy road; I called Antoinette for a date at dinnertime and went touring the city. It was a good afternoon, I got some of my shopping done and checked out the scenery at Larcomar.

Dinnertime came and so did Antoinette. I think we both did more than once. Alas, soon the fair Antoinette was on her way and I was alone again. So, it was Peru, I could make the best of this. I went to Hacienda, played Black Jack, and enjoyed the free liquor. The Black Jack gods smiled at me and let me win eight hundred sole.

Armed with my newly won eight hundred sole, I made my way to Tequila Rock to see what debauchery the night could bring. A bit of a dicey decision as I was knowing that there could be a confrontation with the greedy, needy Ilsa or I could get caught by Andrea. Nonetheless I was going to have another adventure. I paid my twenty soles, got my beer and carefully began to scope. After turning away some of the fuglies a totally hot babe comes up and squirms right up into me saying that for a hundred US I can have two hours. As I started to talk to her I got her vibe and new that my hundred was going directly to her greed. I knew that I'd get a great show of sex, without passion. To my amazement I told her no thanks and kissed off a body I'd give a right arm for now that I'm back in the states.

As a little time and another couple of drinks went down I needed to make a decision, or I'd be alone tonight. Figuring discretion has no part in valor I went up to four just OK looking girls at the center bar and offered them all free drinks. This started competition for my attentions and I was having a great time. Soon I flagged down the Tequila girl and told her to fill shots and stay near. Remember that I was armed with my newly won eight hundred sole, what better way to a girl’s heart. After a couple of Tequila shots each, the girls got it into their heads that they would have a lap dance contest. Who could give me the sexiest lap dance? Soon boobs were coming out and zippers were going down. Half the bar was watching us. I guess I wasn't going to keep my image if Andrea found out.

As the festivities wore down I made my pick and invited Jacqueline to the room. She was a little heavy set, but she had this farmer’s daughter thing going on. She has short blond hair and an American complexion. One of the things that I liked about Jacqueline was when we talked go to the room money never came up. I knew she was there for the money, but it's nice when your girl seems willing to agree to accept your generosity and not her demand. I was confused and thought I just made a date with Andrea. Within the hour it hit me that I had agreed to dinner and dancing with Antoinette and not Andrea. What was I to do? I couldn't go for the fair Andrea as what would I do with Antoinette. On the other hand I would have died for Antoinette a few days earlier. The minefield of mongering. I spent the afternoon pondering my dilemma, while I walked, shopped, picked up my glasses, and had a couple of drinks. I finally decided that I should let fate take it's course and try to enjoy a good night with Antoinette, go to dinner with her and check out her charms as both a person and object of my mongering. After all the girl called me for a dinner date and made no mention of escorting or money.

So at seven sharp the fair Antoinette showed up at the hotel. We went to the room to talk. She pulled out her translation dictionary to show me she was ready for an evening with meaning to it and told me that she had gotten sick and couldn't go for dinner and dancing. She thought I was disappointed, so she whipped off her clothes gave me a few fast slurps to show me what she could do, wrapped up little Gurock and took him for a ride. After the ride she gave me a hug and some kisses, told me she didn't feel good and that she'd call another night. She didn't know I was leaving the next day. I offered her cash and she took ten soles for cab fare.

I began to thing that maybe mongering gods were smiling at me. As soon as Antoinette was out the door, I was calling Andrea. Andrea picked up right away and said she missed me. I asked her over for dinner and the rest of the evening and she said she could be over in an hour. Now life was cooking.

Andrea was at the room within the hour. We greeted like I would have with my ex-wife during the honeymoon. We had some of the best sex, talked and drank down the mini bar. We had more sex, talks and drinks through to about five. At five, I made sure she was on her way to keep her out of trouble. Before we said our tearful goodbyes, Andrea asked me whether I had a good time screwing Jacqueline yesterday night.

Here it was, the cover had been blown and Andrea not only waited till I had one of the best nights to tell me, but she invited me to go to Spain with her on her vacation in the fall. The girl has my email and phone number and says she will call with firm dates later.

What world do I live in where this fair twenty four year old Peruvian beauty could want me, a fat fifty-year-old mongering weasel?

In two hours the car was at the hotel to take me to the airport. I had an uneventful and sad flight home peppered with first class flight attendants saying Mr. Gurock would you like another drink. All the while knowing that I was winging my way home to Chicago. The land of no Andrea, no mongering and six weeks of work to the next possible monger trip.

Prologue:

I was planning a trip in September for two weeks in Angeles City followed by two weeks in Pattaya and home. Don't get me wrong four weeks of AC and Pattaya are near to heaven for little Gurock. On the other hand Peru has a new place in my heart. I know I will still be excited planning and making my next trip, but I also know my loyalties will be more divided than ever.

If the pics seem better than some of my prior attempts, I sold two of my favorite watches and bought a Cannon SD 800. It's a great little camera. I think I have two choices marry the SD 800 or Andrea. Only kidding.

BTW final word, I can't begin enough to thank mongers who have given of themselves so much on this board. I never would have thought of Peru without the board. Again thanks to RT as I never would have made Peru into a trip without the life he gave it in images and words on the board. Also the selfless encouragement in his PMs. Dad, when I grow up can I be like RT.

RT here. Man oh man, what a trip. Yeah, the one thing that I neglected to remind you about was the obsessive possessiveness of the Peruvian women. Hooker or non, once one of those girls gets their claws into you, they are very hard to disengage. You wouldn't have believed me, even if I had warned you. No one does.

It also didn't hurt that you didn't nickel and dime them. The prices you paid were all on the high end of the acceptable range -- the girls were getting what they hoped for, as opposed to what they would settle for. Not always, but often, a happy chica is a dedicated and hard-working chica.

Your few 'mistakes' (taxi, ATM card) are the same that virtually anyone makes when entering a country for the first time. You have absolutely nothing to apologize for.

I agree, there's nothing like walking into a hooker bar with a pocket full of a casino's money anywhere in the world and buying a round for a bunch of girls. In a word: Priceless. I remember one time in the Park Hotel...

As to the Hotel Del Pilar, can you share what you paid, and perhaps upload a couple of room photos, if you have them? Also, even though it's winter, are the rooms air-conditioned? Location-wise, the Del Pilar is ideal -- I've just never had a chance to investigate. Also, what was the procedure with guests -- sign in or just watch you go upstairs? If you don't want to clutter up the report with these answers and just add a post in the Lima Hotels section, that would be awesome.

Hotel Del Pilar was referred to me by Go2Peru.com Pictures and descriptions are on their website. When my girl pics post you will see a little of the room. It has eight floors and one of the girls said it was built about two years ago. It is across the street going west from Hotel Carmel, which is reviewed on Hombre. It is one block east of Calle Pizza and one block south of Calle Pizza.

The room had a safe with key. They say there is a $150.00 charge if you lose the key. No joiner fees. They would like the ladies ids, but half the time they were too busy to ask. The room had a mini-bar with key and you had to ask for the key, so if you didn't want the chicas in the minibar you could say you didn't have the key. I paid $61.00 a night and had a $90.00 room service tab at leaving. They do give a good free breakfast if you're up and about before 10:00 A.M. They had good cable TV with HBO, Cinemax and about seventy channels. You're right it was winter and I never needed AC. I didn't notice a control for AC or heat and lived with the room temperature, which was OK for me at this time. The building has double storm windows and when both sets are closed the room is noise free. The staff was generally efficient, nice to me, and I would stay there again.

Go2Peru.com was very nice to me. When I had to cancel last Thanksgiving they refunded my money even though they didn't have to.

Peru has a wonderful monger scene in Lima. You guys need to remember that my Western Hemisphere mongering was mostly Costa Rica and that I've never done Rio, when looking at my opinion. Like my title, I've spent the last couple of years mongering in LOS and AC.

Also if you want to learn about Peru, RT Gooch has written some great stuff. If it weren't for him, I would never have made the trip.

I went to Larcomar. It's a shopping mall in Miraflores that was carved out of the cliffs across from the main beaches in the area. The weather is to cold this time of year for hanging at the beach. I think there are pics in prior RTGooch reports, but if you still want one I can post it. I think in their summer, December, January and February the beaches are probably beautiful.

Great report Gurock. I was in Peru at the same time as you. Spent lot of time with non pros. I stayed in Miraflores for a few days and then out of town and stayed im San Isidro. The San Isidro hotel was way way better than anything I could find in Miraflores and only a 5 sol ride away.

BTW Paracas has gorgeous beach and sea and is warm even now. I had a great day there. Peru is a heaven for mongering P4P or otherwise. Never had a chance to get to TR.

I've lived for the Pattaya trips and I'm all excited about the next trip, but I'm thinking about Peru in November as well. I don't think Peru will get out of my blood easily.

Your other question is a good one. I might be better off if Andrea never sends me her Spain vacation dates. You know me to well. I'll probably be dying to find a way to go, but better off if I didn't. There's this moment when I'm totaly satiated from a woman when I get a little to willing to go along with things that will be bad for me. Andrea was so good that the memory of that moment might overcome my judgment.

I guess I'd leave that decision for the date that I may have to make it.

Remember our discussions. Could she be THE ONE? Of course, how would you know without much more investment (mostly time) in her?

In TJ the streets aren't especially safe, in Mira Flores the streets are safe at all hours.

In TJ there are Adelita's type places where a girl wants $60.00 and $12.00 for the attached room. My Peru girls either stayed all night for between $65.00 to $100.00 or stayed for a couple of hours until I couldn't make the next round for $35.00 to $65.00. Every girl I had offered or gave at least two rounds. A $65.00 Peruvian escort thinks that part of her place is to keep going until she has completely satiated you.

I had one girl keep cab fare and give me back the rest of my money. I also had three girls between four occasions who didn't ask for the money or bargain a price before the deed. I think that it's a rare day in TJ when a girl doesn't make clear her price and desire for money first. Also I never heard the are you finished yet in Peru. I think this is a TJ standard. Having been to both I respectfully disagree.

Finally as to the BBBJ I ran about fifty percent. I know that I do better in LOS or AC. Looking at the world in the eyes of one of my heroes, Bill Clinton, I generally wrap for sex, but don't view the BJ as sex. I don't want to claim angel status and say that I never barebacked, but it's not a regular occurence for sex. On the other hand I would rather have the BBBJ than the CBJ. Just my opinion.

Everything I just wrote is just my opinion, but for what it's worth I can't agree that Lima and TJ are in the same class. In fact I can't agree that Peru and Costa Rica are in the same class. I can't compare Lima and Rio, because I haven't done Rio yet. I can tell you that Lima is more expensive than AC or Pattaya and maybe a dib more than Bangkok. From the midwest it's a much shorter trip than SEA and keeps the same time as as Chicago. For me the having to deal with the US in the middle of the night SEA time can be a pain. The gambling in Peru is very good, cheap wager for casinos with free food and liquor. The beauty of the women is a very subjective issue. I love the looks of Asian women, on the other hand I wouldn't want to sell short the Peruvian women. I guess in the end I have to give an edge to Pattaya for the longer duration trip. The edge is smaller than I would have thought before I made my Peru trip and I can't make a seven day Pattaya trip from Chicago.

One more comment on the ones prior regarding Peruvianas. I am not necessarily an really experienced monger. I have been to Singapore (2X), Lima (2X), Phuket, Pataya, BK, Rio (2X) and Amsterdam. In fact I am a big fan on LOS in general. But I must say that the Peruvian women are by far and above the very best kissers I have ever experienced. They do a full tonsil exam with the softest, sweetest fullest tongue and lips I have ever experienced. A Better GFE than even my regular USA GF's. In my humble opinion that in itself is worth any extra $$$ I might have to pay.

Thanks for the great report you have put Peru on the mongering map. I was once told by a mongering aficionado that when mongering price and quality have no relationship the more I monger the more I find that to be true.

About price and quality. I couldn't agree with you more. The two seem to be unrelated. In fact as I get old, I seem to think that the relationship may be inverse. The higher the price and more so the greater the chica is interested in money the worse the experience.

Blazers, contrare about TJ comparison and hard core pros concerning Lima and Peru in general. No comparison to TJ (keep TJ) Secondly, 25% of the girls I see here are non pros. In fact, Peru is one of the best L.A. Countries for meeting non pros. Having siad that I invite you to look at the chat board for July 31, 2007 for an interesting situation I am involved in.

Additionally, when you get out of Lima it really gets interesting, but you have to look a lot harder and due some work to make things happen, certainly worth the effort tho.......

Glad you liked it. As good a time as I had during that trip, I haven't been back since. The charms of Asia have kept me lured away. I spent September, December, February and May in Thailand and the Philippines. There are a group of mongers who are more current and if you have questions you might want to talk to them.

there are numerous informative trip reports on Peru, many with links providing additional information.
Generally the information is current for the most part, only pricing has increased if the report is more than 6 months old. It will be cool in Oct, advise taking a light jacket. Climate is opposite ours. Have a good trip and report on it.

I have just one question and one comment. Was this purely a sex vacation or did you have any time to squeeze in a trip to Macu Pichu or any other interesting archeological or history site?

Your first sentence tells me a lot. "I'd worked myself into the habit of spending January, March, May and September in Thailand over the last couple of years.". You must have an extremely large travel expense account or you work in a field where you rack up huge amounts of frequent flyer miles that you are free to use for sex vacations.

For a blue collar, working stiff such as myself, I still find my third world friend & neighbor Mexico to be my budgets best friend when it comes to PFP.

Never made it to the tourist sites. Spent the whole time mongering, as it was a short trip during a very pressured summer. My work pays for none of the trips. I just get to take a lot of time off for age and seniority. I have a lot of miles from status and all my Asia trips. I do understand that it;s not cheap to be mongering the world and I'm hoping that this current ecconomy doesn't screw it up for me.
