| Just got off the phone with AT&T Wireless. Here is the reported deal. Your multi-network (normal digital PCS, not a GSM) works in Tijuana. The roaming partner is Baja Cellular. You dial numbers as if you were in the US. That is to call fav in TJ, dial an international 011-52-66-999999. The really nice lady on the phone suggested two things: 1. If you can't get through try 001 instead of 011. This usually works. 2. If you still can't get through call Baja Cellular at 52-11-260211 and tell them that you are an AT&T wireless customer. You can request an Englisg speaking person at Baja if need be. People from the US and Mexico still call your US number to reach you there. So fav should call 00-630-999-9999. Don't talk a long time. It's a $0.99 a minute roaming charge, plus another 20 cents or so when you call. I still like it better than the hotel connect fees and the shaky pay phones. I know the pay phones are 5 pesos a minute ($0.50+), but they don't work, steal your money, and it's nice to call from your room. Plus fav can call you direct. Comments welcome. BP
