The directness of the transaction is what attracts a lot of them to working the street rather than the bar. As far as getting them to go to an offsite hotel, never say never, but also don't count on it. Some will go to a place like Hotel Cascadas if the price is right or they like you, but the vast majority only want to use the crappy short time hotel they stand near, at least until they get to know you a little bit and maybe have seen you around or had you vouched for by friends.
