2 reasons:

I happen to like the way they cook their meat -- haven't seen suadero available anywhere else. And LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It's right in the middle of the Zona, the hot spot for me in TJ, and I don't think freshmade tortillas are enough of a lure to hike all the way past 8th street to find Gueros or Gordos, which are admittedly damned good as well. In that vein, while I know it's only a matter of a few cents, 6 peso tacos in my backyard beat 9 peso tacos a mile away.

Of course using this logic I could make the same case for Hotel Cascadas being the best hotel in the WORLD as well, so forgive me if it doesn't make sense! What are YOUR faves, ReyTJ? Have you tried the al pastor at the little open air place next to Carreta?
