The flame wars at RS were propagated and continued by loyal, long-time (essentially from its inception...) RedSnake posters. RedSnake was their life. They wouldn't have ceased even if they had paid a sizable sum to be a member - in fact they would have probably felt more entitled to engage in flaming...after all they paid for the right, right? Certain members got together and socialized in TJ..they all knew each other on sight. They were pals and had constant contact with each other, via phone, IRC, etc... This very similar to the schisms that occur in religious branches...What happened at RS is not a new phenomena. They took their personal vendettas to RedSnake and made it what it became. The same guys that made the board, killed the board...
