I've spent the last couple of days picking over the corpse of RedSnake...lot of great info there...so get it while you can. The community imploded but a great book, a communal Holy Grail was written. Thanks NC!

Also meandered over to the old JRSSG site now incorporated into Dexter Horn:

Great memories are there, goin' back to 1997-98...man, we had some balls-out guys writin' prose back then...
Straightforward and informing styles, some guys writing like Fitzgerald or Hemingway...and it was all fuckin' real. Art was imitating life...Your life could imitate art!...Salud, amigos!

Guys were burnin' with a fever...to fuck TJ honkey-tonk women and write about it! A wild stylistic melange of Kerouac, Bukowski, Vonnegut, Tom Wolfe and Mark Twain...What a fulsome froth was stirred! You guys were great!

I hesitate to mention any names for fear that I'd leave out some...but there was a time...there was a time....and not that long ago.

Much of the old info is every bit as informative today as it was 2 or 3 years ago...

Read for yourself...

Thanks to all you writers who took the BOT FAQ or whatever and said..."Fuck it, I'm goin' to Mexico and I don't care if I live or die..." and lived to write the tale...

Ambrose Bierce did the same thing back in 1914...and never fuckin' came back. Disappeared.

Que rico!
