| BillyPV, Since you're not necessarily looking for a place to take las chicas, Cascadas would work well for you. It's close, fairly clean and does present the possibility of being used with una chica, should you find a TB, LC Miami or SG who is to your liking. Although not in the same class as America, or Nelson, if you're JUST looking for a place to crash and clean up a bit, there's not much better place. For $28 + a $10 refundable key deposit, you get a room that is similar to the Coahuila rooms (AB Hotel) that you've already seen. However, I think you'll find the rooms a bit cleaner, and the 'towel boys' a bit nicer than at Coahuila. The standard room a queen/double bed with night stand and phone, a sink inone corner with a open closet in the other. The bath has a standard toilet and a shower. (sometimes you have to let the water run for quite some time to get hot water, but I've always been able to get both hot and cold water) There's also a TV in each room with assorted MX stations and some SD stations, with one mute porno channel as well. There is a window to the hallway in each room, and the 'room service turnstile' in the wall to pass bottles etc. if that's your thing. Personally, I like to get a room as close to the front as possible so that I can maximize the amount of air flow, since there is no A/C in the rooms at this time. (they're putting it in, but it's been taking FOREVER to get the job done) I may rethink this airflow thing with winter coming. We'll see. The negatives of America for your purposes are clear. (cost of travel back and forth) Though it is a nicer place to stay. In comparison, Cesar and Nelson are both a fair walk away from la zona with little benefit. (they are a LITTLE nicer than Cascadas) But for me, the bigger issue for Cesar and Nelson is the need to transit the area around Constitution and 123. This is NOT a good area, and is one of the most mugging prone areas that you're likely to go through. Why risk it just to go crash in your room for an hour or so? Just my $.02.
