I hear what your saying...and in fact it is possible that it did just fall out. My assumption ( and I realize that this is just an assumption) is that someone (maybe the bartender) saw me slide a 100 peso note out from the waistband of my jeans and said "Now, I know where the dough is..." and possibley cued one of the girls who had the "light-fingered" skill...A good pickpocket can do just about anything without the victim knowing. The old Johnny Carson show used to occasionally feature a "pickpocket" who could take everything from a guy without him knowing it - watch, keys, billfold,pens,cuff-links, belt, etc...

As I said, I do recognize that I violated some of my own fundamentals - for example "not zipping the money belt shut" every time - something I've habitually done.

BUT I do not discount the possbility that the clump of bills just "fell out". I figure 90 percent chance "pickpocket", 10 percent chance "fell out". Remember, this was in a money belt under the waistband of my jeans - but if I had zipped the damn thing shut, nothing would have happened...pickpocket or fall-out.

My experience at AB has been problem-free for over 3 years and hundreds if not thousands of hours spent in the place.

BTW, I brought a 100 peso note back and showed it to a young Mexican friend of mine who works here in the US. His eyes grew wide and I said, " Hey, it's only ten bucks"...He said, "Yeah, but you can eat for a week with a 100 peso note down there."...

So, I lost 5 or 6 fucks...and somebody is gonna be eatin' for 30 weeks for free...Some good came outta the deal. The money would've been spent down there one way or another. I just got nothing out of it...
