NC, I enjoyed Paris too. One thing that I did was to take a train ride about 50 miles to Chartes to see a 1000 year old gothic cathedral on a former Druid site. Just seeing the countryside outside of Paris was worth the time. The cathedral was impressive as well. The ease of getting by in English decreases as you get farther away from Paris. BP
