| Excellant post, StrikeEagle..... With my upcoming trip being only my second venture it made me take stock and think about a few things. I am one of those people who have "eyes on the back of their head" and consider myself very "street-smart", growing up and "playing" on the worst streets in Los Angeles. My first trip to the Zona was a success partly because I was "cautious", not "overconfident", and my "street-smart" radar was in high gear. But your post reminded me of something very important......when I'm in LA, I fear no evil, because like the kids say, "I'M IN MY HOUSE"! I have to remember that it took YEARS and a few HARD KNOCKS to reach that level of experience. The last thing I need is to think I'm totaly safe in TJ, because in LA one block has a completely different set of rules than the next, and if you don't know the rules, you are in trouble. I've seen guys at some of the LA clubs and thought to myself "if this guy makes it back to the parking lot alive he's lucky". I'm sure even with all my "LA Street-Smarts" there are veteran Zona troopers that would probably say the same thing about me in TJ. I think there is a valuable lesson in your messege: Learn to WALK first, then RUN. Thanks, BillyPV
