I doubt if you were targeted by the police because you were Asian. More likely, the police have been told to crack down on prostitution occuring on or in the vicinity of Revolucion, thus discouraging the activity and thereby somewhat appeasing the Restaurant Owner's Assoc. It is more likely that you would be hassled by hotel staff regarding your choice of guests in your hotel room, than the police. Although, if you argue with the staff over the matter, they may call the police... Mexicans are very tolerant in general, unless they choose not to be... You gotta get a feel for the situation...
