Pman, The drink quota thing has been brought up before but I agree it is a valid issue. First off 20 tickets is equal to 10 drinks in AB, about 50 bucks. These girls are getting a free place to work, they keep all the money they earn, they get a hotel to use that's more or less maintained and security. In exchange management expects them to help put money in the till. I disagree with your feeling that they make more money than the girls, don't forget things like rent, payroll, the cost of all that booze, licenses, bribes and whatever the hell else you have to do to have a biz down there. Keep in mind also the girls are given a very nice commission on those drinks, 2 bucks for a 5 dollar drink is 40% of the gross...I've been in sales for awhile and I don't know many places that give you that big a bite. Remember a lot of girls in the smaller clubs work for the money they make from the drinks and dancing only, so that extra cash from the drinks is more than just pin money to them. As with anything I think these quotas are imposed because of girls taking advantage of the clubs and just concentrating on going upstairs which only puts 10 bucks towards the till via the hotel. From a customer standpoint, sure I'd rather they didn't have to worry about drink quotas which eventually comes from my and your pocket but from a management position I don't think they ask much at all. If a chica can't get 10 drinks per shift I don't think I'd want her working at my club either.
