Brother Rico, I see your point and absolutely agree that no one is totally immune--these guys have proven that, under the right circumstances, they will hit just about anybody. I'm just interested in trying to figure out, if such a thing is possible, what makes for the right circumstances. I do think that the goons are rational to at least some degree and they have lots of different targets to choose from at any given time, so my hunch is that they're prone to zoom in on particular characteristics--which may, by the way, have more to do with behavior and 'vibe' than youth, muscularity, etc. That is, maybe they'd be more likely to hit a big, young guy who looked incredibly drunk, or out of it and not paying attention to his surroundings, than to hit a smaller, older guy who was being ultra-careful and keeping a bead on the environment. Dunno what the precise calculus is or even if it can be known, but interested in knowing as much as I can know about how these creeps operate, the better to avoid having to deal with them. As for them fuckin' with ARNOLD back in the day, you gots ta be kiddin', yo! C'mon, K-RIC, Arnold was OUTTA CONTROL back then--he coulda probly lifted half the guys in TJ if you roped 'em up to a barbell! I can see the scenario--one of them rateros jumps up behind Arnie (who's just come out of La Ribera after a session with his favorite SG, who btw doesn't look a bit like that Kennedy girl he was unfortunate enough to marry who's starting to look way too much like a Kennedy MAN) and tries to put the chokehold on, winds up breaking his arm when the A, thinking a flea has landed on his back, turns his head and flexes his massive neck muscles! Arnie 1, Rateros 0. Hasta la vista, baby!
