That was a Great post, and as a person with a dual history/ Political Science degree I found it interesting. The thing is ( and I guess the general consensus from the above post is Prostititution is quasi-legal at best, but tolerated) The policemen and your average Mexcian male may despise us, I mean one thing I would like to add to your post is the famous machismo mind set of the latin male, but frankly, I would think they would A) The Northern Mexican states would be the biggest lobby for keeping prostitution quite illegal in the US and B) would pretty much get over it to some degree because I mean that has to be a huge part of the economy to Laredo, Juarez, TJ etc... I mean how many of you Gents would go down there for the "cheap" leather goods, I know I would not fly down once every month to Laredo to buy a chess set, or chicklets. or for the scenery.
Just a thought.
