NotsoSlo, My suggestion would be to read the BOT FAQ and use this as your 'beginners guideline'. The Brockton O'Toole FAQ gives the raw newbie a LOT of good info for a first time visit. You may also want to look at the Discus Board under 'A Newbie Starting Point", as this may clarify why this community may be asking you to do some initial research first. And, it hopefully will give you some insight on what La Zona is like and things to keep in mind in evaluating just how adventurous you're ready to be on your first trip south. Until you've been there and had a chance to measure where you are in the scale of hobbyists, it's hard to give you suggestions on what to do, or where to go.
