go Fox!- I started following Mexican politics after realizing how bad I had it for my chica, and fantasize about living in her hometown someday. during his campaign, he said a lot of things that seemed to make sense. Trying to explain to my chica was a different story, she was for PRI, I think because her father was. She had me going one night, saying " Fox wants to close all the Zona bars". That almost made me lose my allegiance, but I hope she's wrong (RIGHT GUYS?). I know that when he was governor of Guanajuato, crime went down, and the economy was up. If he can do it with one state, why not the whole country? I just hope that the country rallies behind him and helps him do what he said he wanted to do for the good of the country as a whole. I don't pretend to know all the workings of the political scene there (here either)but he seems like a straight shooter, which Mexico hasn't had for a long time.Just my 2 centavos. A. |
