SPECIFIC: Actually, I think your observation is only true up to a point. I know many ladies in their thirties and older who have been prostitutes for many years now, usually since their early twenties. None of them are on drugs; in fact most do not even drink alcohol or smoke. They spend hours at the gym. Like Nolan Ryan or Ricky Henderson in baseball, I think once you get to a certain age, you have to really take care of yourself to compete with younger folks, and this means diet, exercise, and staying off addictive substances like drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. But as far as younger chicas, I think your point is valid: once they get over the initial weirdness of the profession and begin to make money, they often get sucked into a decadent lifestyle that includes drugs. Those gals never make it to their "working" thirties in TJ; they either retire, get burned out, or die.
