...I was asking why he didn't leave. While I haven't been married, I have been in relationships where it became clear to me that I was no longer happy in the relationship. Maybe it is just me, but I always took the hit and pain of leaving as soon as I realized I was no longer happy with her. To me the clean seperation - no matter how painful - was easier in the long run than trying to pretend things were OK and carry on outside the relationship. I have also been lucky to have been in relationships with women who gave me freedom to do as I pleased. I have found I adapt to what the woman is comfortable with, or at least to what I think she will accept. I guess I am just not a good liar, so I really have never seen "cheating" as a valid option.
