Hey Jizz, The "vicarious living" thing is probably more common than one would expect. I am not from CA, but did my first TJ working girl within a month of moving here when I was 19. Things did not slow down much after that, and the situation in Thailand and the Philippines is even more outrageous and economical than Tijuana (the main advantages TJ has going for it over these places is location and language, since I am fluent in Spanish). So, while I may not have the phenomenal number of notches in my crank that some of the regulars in here have, my whoremongering experience is not slight. Sorry to hear that your marriage is likely doomed, in the long run. Ironically, I think it would be easier for me to walk away from your situation than mine, even though I know you believe the opposite is the case. Just a matter of perspective, I guess. What I really miss is the three or four day mindbenders, with nothing to worry about but drinking and whoring, and no responsibility to anyone. Still, rationally, I know that even if I did walk away from my present life, I couldn't spend my time 24/7 in the Zona, and would still need to work to finance my activities, and would probably regret hurting my woman and giving up a great thing, so I honestly doubt I will do anything drastic, so long as anything resembling sanity continues to prevail. This is one hell of a forum, though, and the only one I know of can discuss the down and dirty truth about topics that would make Joe Normal shit all over himself. I know that I scrape the surface of these topics at work every so often, and am generally regarded as a psychotic heathen for the bits and pieces I have revealed (not that this is a bad thing!) Anyway, I will probably just content myself to the occasional fling, with no repeats, and kept on a purely physical level - this may seem odd, but having emotional attachments with another woman would bother my conscience, while an occasional bj or protected screw is just good, dirty fun. Party on, bro!
