I've heard pros and cons regarding this issue...I think it depends on the approach. I met a Mexican guy in AB who was about 6'3", buffed and looked like a film star...He spoke perfect English (and Spanish, of course...), and was a high-tech businessman who made frequent trips to USA technology centers ( i.e., Silicon Valley, Alley...etc...). I figured my favorita at the time would be delighted to meet this guy, so I introduced them, but she later told me never to do it again, i.e. introduce her as "buen gente" to a Mexican guy...because she said they have no respect for "prostitutas" (the word she used!)at all...even though this guy seemed completely OK to me...Hell, I thought I was doin' her a favor. I've also tried to introduce my male friends to really gorgeous, "buen gente" (good people)chicas only to have them (the guys)reject them (the chicas)for whatever reason...so now my chicas amigas are pissed at me for wasting their time...and for putting their reputations on the line. I've also engaged in some very nasty and explicit conversations ( en espanol) with one or more chicas in the presence of one or more male friends ( wherein I was trying to establish the parameters of the deal that was going to take place upstairs - I always make sure everything is understood before we head out the door...)...and the chicas didn't seem in the least bit offended...so it's always a "learning experience" for me... But I say, just do it...Ultimately everybody is free to accept or reject offers... I think if the introduction is done "con cortesia" (with courtesy) there would certainly be no problem... KRICO
