Isn't this "vencer"? To get beaten, like in sports?...in this case it's " Myself, I give for beated" , roughly translated to "I understand that I'm beaten..."? I imagine that one could be "beaten" and that one could then "abandon" whatever has defeated one... Ahhh, espanol...que complicado! Italiano pareceria muchisima facile, yo creo...(Spanish...how complicated! Italian would seem much more easy...I think.) On that note, I was amazed at how consistently depleted the "learn Spanish" section shelves of my local Barnes & Noble are...this is a recent phenomena, becoming evident only within the last 6 months...My assumption is that suddenly, a lot of people are trying to learn Spanish. Is something going on here, Mr. Jones? KRICO
