Why would anyone bet $100 on Vargas for the chance to win $140, when you could bet $50 that he wins by KO (which would pay $200), and $50 that he wins by decision (which also pays $200)? Thus, for the same $100 risk, you would stand to win $200, instead of $140, should Vargas win by either KO or decision. Am I missing something here?
