Can't disagree with what everyone is telling you, but I stay at the Zaragoza and walk from there to the zona and back at all times morning or night. I walk down from the VZ go into Isis and then go to El Tiburon for a drink and then Unicornio. If you go the El Tiburon during the day see if Marta the day bartender is there - a knock out. After seeing if the I or U have any action (usually not) I walk up Revolution to 1st Street and have a drink at the Nelson Bar. Then I walk 1st street from Revolution to Constitution (I know this is Raterro Central). I have seen three muggings, but I have not had one happen to me yet. Possibly it is because I walk the streets very aware or perhaps I have just been lucky. To be quite honest I enjoy the walk and I like some of the girls on first street between Revolution and Constitution - even they warn me of the dangers. Again I can't disagree with what everyones says particularly at night and most likely when and if I get mugged I will cab it also.
