Bro, you missed the point. Step outside your door in the morning, guess what? There's risk involved. Get on a plane or in a car to go to TJ, guess what? There's risk involved (and CONSIDERABLE risk, if you're driving in Mexico!). Go to TJ and WALK around in the street, don't even talk to any chicas, just walk around in the street, guess what? My whole point is that the risks involved in female to male HIV transmission from vaginal sex are VASTLY overstated, for reasons that are clear to see to anybody who ain't blind (that is, anybody who knows that the medical establishment cannot avoid being influenced by politics). And even if there IS risk (and SURE, there IS, no doubt), however big or small, well, for some dudes, it's all about that. Maybe you don't like risk at all--in that case, what the FUCK are you doing in TJ, my brotha? If you're *REALLY* concerned about brothers "getting sick", you should be trying to convince us all to stay home, to get ourselves one of those tents John Travolta lived in way back in that 70s movie and pray for protection from microbes. Risk is EXCITING for some people, surely you get that, don'tcha, bro? Some people aren't all that interested in the idea of whoremongering as a *conservative* enterprise, knowhutahmean? Even see it as kinda...well, inconsistent. Fuckin' prostitutes, hangin' out in one of the most dangerous cities in the world, all the while trying to put away as much for retirement as they can. Got news for ya, my Republican brothers--if you continue hanging in TJ for 10 years or so, there's a good chance something serious enough might happen to you on one level or another to make that retirement money turn into a nice legacy for the kids. Some people go to TJ because it's ABOUT risk, ya might get nabbed by the TJ police for something, might get mugged, might get found out by people back home and be ostracized or lose the job, might get a disease, maybe even a fatal one. Might also have a fucking mind-blowing good time. Some people want to live to be 1000 years old and have their penis shrivel off into dust at their feet while they congratulate themselves at having outlived their penises, other people ain't all that innerested in that scenario. Live your life like ya wanna, but don't assume bad or non-existent arguments about the amount of risk somebody's undertaking should be seen as anything but bad arguments and moralising rather than compelling truths. Some people weigh the risk of getting whatever from a chica as too high to take the chance to have even condom-endowed sexual congress with her. Their decision, fine with me, ain't gonna call 'em pussies or cowards or scared or anything else. Totally their call, and I respect their decision. Some people up the ante a little and have condom-endowed sex with chicas, but stop the betting at condom-less sex. Fine with me, their decision, etc. Some other people look at the benefits of condom-less sex in at least some scenarios and they inform themselves of the *realistic* risks of getting HIV (note I said the "REALISTIC" risks, not the myths fostered by the harumscarum Puritans and the PCoids who can't stand it that the facts show that female to male vaginal transmission is actually rather difficult because 'that's oppressive to gays' so they just change the facts to fit the politics--note too that we are talkin' here only about HIV, not about other stuff, which certainly could change the calculus involved, no doubt), and they still decide to take the bet. Only problem, so far as I can see, is that some of you guys, either because you are closet moralists or because you are misinformed about the real risks of female to male HIV infection from vaginal intercourse 'cause you've bought the politically correct horseshit being sold by certain segments of the HIV industry, take it upon yourself in those situations to call those guys "fucking retards" (the professorial language of Brother Porker) or to use incorrect and misleading comparisons like your Kevin Bacon one above to try to scare people. The real truth, Bro, is that "every bar girl and every monger, etc." is NOT linked to every chica I or anyone else fucks down there because there is never 100% passage of ANY STD from one person to another, and THIS IS ESPECIALLY THE CASE, ALL THE DATA SHOW, WITH RESPECT TO FEMALE TO MALE VAGINAL PASSAGE OF HIV (can I get a witness on that? one mo' time--THIS IS ESPECIALLY THE CASE WITH RESPECT TO FEMALE TO MALE VAGINAL TRANSMISSION OF HIV). I have seen data that show that het couples in which one is infected and the other is not (and ESPECIALLY when the infected one is the female) have had *numerous* unprotected encounters without transmission. I have no way of knowing the exact numbers, but I'd be just about willing to bet that the risk of HIV infection from say 10 bouts of condom-less sex with TJ chicas is comparable to or less than the risk of being killed in your car on one of those 10 trips from SD to TJ. You don't wanna add the HIV risk to the car risk? Fine, bro--your life. And of course you're even free to believe the story on this that comes from the hysterical PC HIV lobby and the Puritanical fanatics who would like to jail us all as moral deviants if you like, that's your prerogative, I got no problem with it, do whatcha wanna do. But, bro, if your argument ain't informed by nothin' more than bad metaphors from bad films, you need to get yaself some better arguments 'fore ya start advertising, in my opinion.
