I agree with you TJ. I did BBBJ only once, and I worried for days. It is totally not worth it and i will never do it again. And when you bring up these points, you are frequently answered with things like "well, why go if you're worried about disease?" I go to have fun, and I am prepared to play fun and responsibly, so as not to increase or present risks to other people, most of all the girls. The worst thing is, once someone has a disease they think "well, i didn't want it and no one was looking out for me, so fuck 'em" and they keep indulging in risky behavior, spreading the disease. And forget about HIV. There are all sorts of hideous diseases out there to worry about, and lots easier to catch than AIDS. For example, herpes is the disease that keeps on giving. It's painful, ugly, contagious, It's a horror. Papillomavirus (warts) causes penile and anal cancer. How would you like that? And not to mention the other hideous disease you can get. Also, consider like 10% of the U.S. public has HPV, and some 40% has herpes. Of course, no one going to TJ has it. :-o So I say, ok, you're ready to play, have fun. But play safe and in a socially responsible manner, so we can all enjoy it for a long time to come. Sex shouldn't be dangerous, and it doesn't have to be.
