Hmmm. Well, I think I understand your concern. And I do think it is a good idea that you get tested for HIV and other STD's not only because of the broken condom, but I do suggest periodic testing if you have multiple sex partners, even more so if the multiple sex partners are prostitutes who themselves have multiple sex partners. However, I think Ritmo's one and only point (the only one I agree with but I believe it is also the only one he was trying to make in the first place) is that the level of anxiety you are experiencing about possibly contracting HIV from this single unprotected sex contact may be disporportionately high compared to the actual risk (which is of course difficult to quantify but nevertheless extremely low). On the other hand, your concerns about HSV and HPV may be a bit closer to reality. I strongly urge consistent use of latex or polyurethane condoms when having sex with prostitutes in TJ. Shy Guy
