In thinking about TJHombre's post below, I realize just how difficult a job he has. I've been reading this board, it's predecessors, and other boards about prostitution for many years. And I have been friends with several people involved with running such boards (most noteably Bashful, one of the first and best known). Many an hour has been passed discussing what issues are involved. Some questions.... What do you do: When a guy tells you "so and so did me without a condom". When the guy who is enamored of that same girl tells you he is happy she insists on always using a condom with "all" her customers? When a guy tells you "I never use condoms". When a guy tells you "I have an STD". When the guy who tells you he has an STD is the same guy who told you he never uses condoms? One of the girls complains to you that she is worried about the posting of her name on your message board. She doesn't know it is your message board, but is expressing her concerns? When a girl confides in you about the guy she is "taking to the cleaners" for thousands of dollars. When you meet the guy she is taking to the cleaners, and he is someone you know from the message board. When that guy posts about how wonderful his favorita is on the message board. When someone you trust tells you that a girl has an STD, and is still working. When you put two and two together and figure out that she is taking the guy to the cleaners because she knows she can't work much longer with the STD she has. When someone you know contracts an STD and is sure who gave it to him. When someone who dislikes that person posts about him having an STD. When a guy tells you about another guy who is planning something illegal. When a girl tells you about the same guy doing something illegal. When the guy doing something illegal uses your message board as a way to pass a message to his partner in crime. While it may be argued that this is "just the Internet" and as such is not "real life", what we say here DOES have an impact on real lives - ours and the working ladies. Sometimes I think we forget that fact... Just some food for thought....
