Trying to read several days worth posts in one short span is leading to severe eyestrain. Particularily since most of them are about one subject and the argument just seems to go around in circles.

However, I do have a question. IF (both letters capitalized) it is true that AIDs is as widespread in parts of Africa as we are told then how is it traveling so fast compared to what is apparently occuring in our part of the world? IF it is a disease primarily passed by the gay community and druggies then what's the story in Africa? IF it is as hard to pass from one infected person to a noninfected person as many claim then why is it so rampant in Africa? Racial differences? Really extreme differences in sexual activity? Or what?

I suspect that in 10 or 20 years we are going to learn that much of what is claimed as fact regarding this disease have been the exagerations and sometimes outright lies from special interest groups with their own agendas. But I wouldn't want to take a chance on which side of the debate is going to prove the more correct.
