No intention here of re-igniting what I thought was a constructive debate here on safe sex last week. The most recent wave of discussion on this most important topic has truly run it's course. However, I do have a report that I feel duty bound to provide as sort of an epilogue to that conversation. An amigo and zona veteran who gave up posting these boards years ago contracted gonorrhea within the last few weeks from a street girl who hangs at the SE corner of Coahuila and Constitucion - she calls herself Celeste (prounouces it Celestay). Yes, he fucked her without any protection. That much is a fact. More speculative in nature but still credible, is his report of a discussion with the doctor who treated him - the doctor stating that gonorrhea is essentially 100% contagious (obviously there's a margin of error there) - i.e. unprotected sexual contact with an infected partner WILL make it eventually hurt to pee. The doctor also suggested that if this SG had it, that it is very likely rampant among all the SGs and even the bar girls that are able to avoid legitimate health checks, given the ease in which it is passed on - including via BJs. My friend is trying to obtain a supply of the antibiotic that cured him and bring it down to Celeste. That is a gentlemanly gesture, but of course will do no more than add a drop to the bucket...so keep your big head in the decision process when you have sex with ANYONE other than a partner you're monogomous with - but if that's your situation, you aren't reading this board!
