Just reporting what the book says in terms of reaching an altered state with the minimal long-term negative consequences. These two have the minimum "cost" in terms of permanent damage. Many, many of the popular alternatives that are floating around la zona really do bad longterm negative shit to your brain (including alcohol). Remember the eggs in the frying pan - "This is your brain on drugs. This is your brain with a side of ham." And I agree with you that "Just find a real honest aphrodisiac with no side effects except smiles." Very well stated. Years ago after teaching a 3 hour night class, I use to crawl into my den, all alone, and passively watch Tom Synder. I remember when he had a Morman guy from Utah who had 9 wives. The guy was in his sixties and managed to "satisfy" 9 women. No theory. Just practical knowledge from a guy who knew what was happening. His formula was simple. Good health and variety. And there you have it. The secret to "a real honest aphrodisiac with no side effects except smiles." Or as my main man Benjamin Franklin said "Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise". Health comes first.
