Superman, That's all well and good, but when I am with my favorita I find it easier if she handles the cabbies. Example would be going from Hotel Zaragoza to Adelita. She simply asks the cab and often times he says $3. For me he would ask for from $5 to $6 and I would negotiate down to no more than $5. With my favorita, when she negotiated a $3 cab fare, I would ask if she was going to tip the driver and her comment would be "for what I have to work for a living". She along with most Mexican do not tip cabbies. However, in a restaurant or even the cleaning women in the hotel she sometimes will tell me if I tip the people too low or too high.
