yo jarocho, you shouldn't base your decisions on what you hear here.... but regarding the issue of misrepresentation.... i do know that misrepresentation is a removable offense, meaning that there is the possibility that you may be removed (deported). i don't say this to alarm you, but you should contact an immigration attorney before filing your N-400 because you have to disclose this offense to the INS for naturalization. disclosing the information WILL bring this offense to their attention and could cause problems for you. in NO way am saying that you should "hide" information, but if you do file for naturalization you WILL have to tell the TRUTH. also, i believe misrepresentation precludes an individual from naturalization and obtaining a visa for U.S. entry, for life. but as always, ask an attorney or see if there is a non-profit immigration-law group in San Diego that can help you. good luck, cs
