Those who bitch the most about how things 'should be' or how things are being trashed by some posters, are the very same people who add LITTLE or NOTHING to any of the discussions on the board.

I have to ask the community what right someone has to bitch and whine about how ANYTHING on this board is 'wrong', when he contributes NOT A SINGLE POSITIVE POSTING in weeks.

Lurkers by definition do just that. They read and learn by the conversational traffic that is posted on the board by others. Those who participate in the discussions, and are active in contributing to the collective knowledge on this board seem to be more focused on adding to the board. And, those posters seem to have little time to gripe about how things should be, because those members are too busy constructively adding to the board.

Beachman, you've added NOTHING to the board in MONTHS. I searched and found not one single post from you in the last two months that wasn't an attack or bitch. NOT ONE.

Ezgab, you tell us that you've been to the LoS, and you promise trip reports. Yet you post NOTHING. But, when there's a post by someone you don't like, you're the first to jump on the band wagon.

Conshagi, I'm still waiting for your first contribution to the community, as well. You certainly posted as an authority on TJ, when you addressed TJR, but I'm having trouble finding anything constructive from you in the archives.

I'm naming names not to elicit a response. (frankly I don't care, and won't bother reading the responses that you might post, so save yourself the effort) I point this out because in my mind, and in my post reading protocol, I don't really feel that you have any right to critique other members of our community for lack of constructive content when none of you have added anything to the community either. Further, for all the bandwidth and time that is eaten up with all of your collective flames, each of you could be adding something positive to the group.
Ezgab, how about that Thailand post?? It doesn't have to be a book, but a list of good places to stay, bars to check out, etc. would be helpful to many on this board.
Beachman, you seem to spend a fair amount of time in CR. How about some more shared info on what you know??
Conshagi, you seem to be new to the game on this board. So new, in fact, that I can not find a single post from you that wasn't involving an attack. (telling TJR that her PhD subject was 'unqualified' seems to have been your first posting) I'm presuming that you have something positive to add to this board, so step up to the plate.

SireEnigma had it right. Not so long ago, there was some civility in this community, and that included respect to ALL posters as well as las chicas.

TJ Hombre, I apologize to you for this tirade. I'm just sick of how some people are showing the entire hobbyist community such little respect. If you feel that this will only begin a new flame war, please remove this posting.
