As with many high-risk portfolios, the returns have been dependent upon a few big winners. Lots of little moves going nowhere sprinkled among some spectacular winners and some equally death-defying swoons. It's been necessary to stay fluid, ruthlessly cut losses short at the first confirmed sign of trouble, and reallocate funds to the proven winners. Excellent 3 year rate of return based on the spectacular outperformance of less than 5% of the positions. The other 19 out of 20 (95%) have given a little, taken a little, and basically hovered around 0, mas o menos. Still riding the winners although always keeping our eyes open for specialty niches and "undiscovered gems". Regards, |
