This is my backyard too. I agree with the others' comments that street action in Hollywood is basically history and a foolhardy proposition, but there are occasional breakouts. I was strolling along both boulevards today and was surprised to see 4-5 girls. However, there were also a contingent of mounted police galloping around the neighborhood and rounding them up. Weird, never saw mounted cops in L.A. outside of a parade, demonstration or something like that. Last night I was driving home along Sunset near Western and noticed a drop dead gorgeous working girl. I assumed it was a cop since real working girls don't look this good in East Hollywood. L.A. street prostitution has never interested me outside of sociological curiousity, so in the interest of research I turned around a few blocks down to see if I could get a confirmation and see a bust going down. I was back at her spot 80 seconds after I first saw her and she was gone. So she could possibly have been legit...some horny bastard may have found a rare oasis in the L.A. street scene desert.
