...is pretty much the same...

"Las normas de comportamiento en un chat son básicamente las mismas que para cualquier reunión de personas; no seas grosero, intenta ser educado, no repitas frases, no uses script, escribir en mayúsculas resulta muy molesto. En general no hagas nada que pueda molestar a otros usuarios."

I found this advisory preface to a chat room in Madrid, Espana, regarding "chat room" etiquette...here's my "off the cuff" interpretation...

"The norms of behaviour in a chat are basically the same as for any meeting of persons (people). Don't be rude, crude (grosero), try to be polite, well-mannered (educado), don't repeat sentences (frases), don't use "cut 'n' paste" pre-determined scripts, to write in all capital letters (mayúsculas)turns out to be annoying (resulta que = it results in, or it turns out that...). In general, don't do anything that would be able to bother other users..."

Well,...they ain't been to the USA yet have they?

But I think, the spirit is right...
Although that last sentence would be impossible to adhere to...
