Spent 1 PM to 11 PM in La Zona yesterday. AB in the early afternoon had a light crowd with a good mix and I was fortunate to find one of my favorites. By the end of the evening tho the ratio was million to one men to women. Most lopsided crowd, and I do mean crowd, that I ever saw. I had plans of starting out the New Year tonight in the saddle, but I think I'll hang with my friends stateside instead. To those who are thinking of La Zona tonight, I recommend this afternoon with an early departure. Also, good chance there will be a sobiety checkpoint as you enter the freeway northbound from the parking lots in San Ysidro. I've seen them there before just as you round the bend on the entrance - surprise! Please be careful. Happy New Year
