That's odd - I don't remember anyone posting anything like that. Of course I haven't read EVERY post over the past 5 years(in fact I would say I've read less than half of them). However, I would like to know the circumstances surrounding these "incidences". Not only will it help us to "authenticate" them, but it will help us discern a pattern - and help expand the list of "things to avoid". Of course, you can always stay home and hide under the bed - but even that isn't 100% safe. Sticking to the taxi to/from AB/CC is probably pretty damn safe too - I just think it isn't worth it, and isn't necessary, as long as you follow a few simple precautions. Remember - most of the muggings were occurring at the corner of Callejon Coahuila/Constitucion. There is now a permanent precinct house at that location. This put an end to most of the muggings. Also, I haven't seen that short/fat "auxiliary" TJ cop around in quite awhile - it was my suspicion that he was actually helping the chokehold and ATM bandits.
