I think you have discounted the fact that having a wife can be quite expensive - that free sex you speak of can be laden with hidden costs. If you are in a situation where you have provided a moderate to large suburban home, vehicles, living expenses, and (god forbid) children, you may easily find that your cost-per-screw ratio is higher than it would have been in TJ.
