Yes. The rates in Mexico for insurance are done a little different than here. If you drive in Mexico you should call your insurance company and inquire if they have a source for insurance for you. For the cost of buying insurance at the boarder a couple of times you can have a years worth of coverage. Century 21 insurance offers it through MexiPass International services, inc. P.O. Box 1109, South Pasadena, CA 91031-9945. The policy is underwritten by AGI Mexico Seguros Interamericana AV. Insurgentes sur 1136, Col. del Valle, C.P. 03219, Mexico, D.F..

Annual policy rates start as low as 75 dollars.
You will need to carry these papers with you the total time you drive in Mexico to have it valid. It is explained in the policy what you need to do.
