Actually, strict islamic countries are much worse than the US. When I was in Saudi during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, not only were we not permitted to have any alcohol whatsoever sent to us, but even the mainstream newspapers sold had women's faces and bodies blacked out by magic markers! On the few occasions I was able to go into Saudi cities, even communication with a local woman was entirely impossible. There are even Muslim countries that still practice female genital mutilation on infants, so that when they grow up, they will be more "pure"! I read in Saudi newspapers that the femals form should always be hidden from view in public, as the arousal of men makes for an impure society. So, while I agree in spirit with your analysis of the US, I would disagree with your opinion that we are the MOST repressed, or the MOST restrictive - although we are certainly high on the list!!! The downside, of course, is the fact that as bad as things are now, they could certainly get worse if the Religious Reich ever gains serious power . . . Orale carnal, kendricks
