Toehead: I think you would really like Las Pulgas, it has three dance floors-- two basically devoted to banda and rancheras and one to house/disco...live music predominates at the main floor with some fairly big acts from the Regional Mexican music scene performing there on weekends... I have danced and gotten some phone numbers and emails here but have never really followed up--due mainly to my being a Bay Area monger...the gringo count is pretty low, but "operating" in the club doesnt seem to be a real problem...some Mexican chicas at Las Pulgas seem to dig gringos while others, of course, don't... My impression of the chicas in Las Pulgas is that they are basically modern, city dwelling tho pueblo-born, rancheritas...similar, in fact, to the chicas we meet in the Zona... Further, in fact, I have yet to go and not encounter a few AB/CC chicas, as well as some SG's...sometimes with novios, and sometimes with friends... Definitely worth checking out... YoungBrig
